Chatter and such.

I'm gonna be posting some setting stuff this weekend. Feel free to suggest some things as not every detail has been completely hammered out.

Also, the game is already full. I started this today and had over 10 requests. Wow.

Hi! Thanks for having me here!

By way of introduction, I'm from Manila, Philippines (GMT+8) so you can expect me to be posting at strange hours. Besides the time zone difference I also keep odd work hours as I am a chef running my own cake business. We like making geeky cakes. Here's one, and here's another :-)

I was introduced to D&D almost 30 years ago (AD&D back then) and to this day I still play with the same group of guys, my best friends. We played 3.5E when that came out and spent 10 years on a campaign, skipped 4E, and recently started a 5E campaign. I'm fairly new to PbP, having only discovered GP earlier this year. It's been fun trying out new game systems and character concepts I would never have gotten off the ground in my face-to-face games.

Here's my first rules question: Which (if any) of the optional rules are going to be implemented here?
Climb onto a bigger creature – DMG 271
Disarm – DMG 271
Overrun – DMG 272
Shove aside – DMG 272
Lasting injuries – DMG 272

I guess this is also the time to ask if you have any houserules or homebrew stuff you will be implementing.

As of right now I'm not using any house rules or optional rules because I'm trying to learn 5e. I just got a PHB and MM this week and still don't have a DMG yet, so we're gonna stick with the basics at least to start.

Does that mean that characters that have homebrewed elements should not be used?

For now. Once I'm comfortable we can see about branching things out.

Sorry for the delay. Thanksgiving holidays are bustling for me here and getting TheTinyAsian set up with their character as they're also new to 5e. Should be ready to get started by the end of the week hopefully.

Hi there! I'm sorry to be doing this but I think I'm going to have to drop out of the game. I've stretched myself too thin signing up for too many games (I am currently in more than 20 games here on PbP). It's too bad, I really like Olwenyo and was excited to have him join the Legion of Thunder!
