The system of Learning/Secret Studies.

It original to this setting, and adds much more customisation and further specialisation and flavor to the player characters.
It allows to the players to recieve certain new abilities outside of Tier system. In order to recieve certain ability character need:

1. Low amount of XP (0-2XP)
2. Prerequisites of other abilities/reputation/tiers, if any

To start the training. The ability wont be active, till it's training/study complete, and will take one of 3 slots of Studies, which aviable to each character. Once ability is completely learned, the slot will be free again.

To finalize the Study character will need mix of initial payment to trainer and then Training and Practice:
1. Payment to trainer and trainer for that study: someone who can train that special stuff. Trainers may need certain amout of reputation.
The payment is per one lesson, and is equal to 1 shin * 2 ^ Study Level. (2 shins for lvl 1, 4 shins for lvl 2, 8 shins for lvl 3 and 16 shins for lvl 4)

2. TR points - Training points - 1 point recieved by the character when character spends 6 hours with his trainer and suceeds learning roll, modified by characters skills, class, and skill complexity. (instead of resting or else). Only one point could be recieved per one day. If character just recieved TR point in certain study, and did not recieved PR (below) point before he tries to get new TR - The complexity of the roll grows by 1 for each new TR character attempts to recieve without PR.
Roll complexity is equal to the lvl of the Study, ie Lvl 1 Study will require roll of difficulty 1.

TR rolls could be modified by effort, and each Study have own stat attached to it, so different studies will require different primary stat rolls.

Its a GM led game so trainers could be aviable at different places party will visit, will be tied to factions, entities and will be randomly aviable. It's an random advantage of more-less friendly or at least safe area could provide (on of them).
3. PR points - Practice - awarded by GM when character attempts during the game to do something related to the skill he learns. It is a "field practice". I will award them. It will be not enought to attempt, but the point will be awarded if there something meaningful achieved.

Additionally, as alternative, character can spend 6 hours without a trainer and earn another PR, if he suceeds learning roll in same fashion as with TR.

TR and PR cost of abilties may vary, and also could be adjusted by other studies / skills / abilties / perks character have, and by his type / class, and even by his foci and descriptor in rare cases.

Once character unlocked certain study, and then collected all required TR and PR (Trainings and Practice), he recieves the Study (perk/ability).

Studies can do lot of things - some add skill trainings, some - certain bonuses, some - stats, some certain features, some - give esoteries.

Studies XP cost is very low, but that XP does not count towards Tiers advance.

It allows character customisation which follows actions of the character during the game, and awards having reputation / good terms with some entities, which can share their skills and secrets.
