here is a basic guideline for how I would like these to be posted.

Isn't there a cap of 2 on skills for starting characters? So then that Mechanic Free should be reassigned to another Career skill right?

yeah cap of two. Also we may have to negotiate changing the species a little for sluissi. I know thats a third party species and personally I feel it may offer a little bit too much for 90 starting XP.

Looking through my build I figure I meant stealth for a free specialization but I couldn't figure out where I spent the XP then from my sticky note. If I need to change what about the Verpine vs Sluissi? 1/2/3/2/2/2 starting, Microscopic Sight, Skill Mech 1, Chitin Plating for Natural Defense of 1 starting 100 XP. I won't get to talk wittth a lissssp though if I change.

My only concern with sluissi is that it was third party so it would be a bit unbalanced. Practiced
Mechanic gear head and free rank in mechanics for 90 xp is a huge difference than say xexto who gets less for 70 starting xp. They're just a bit whacky compared to published species. I don't mind you using them if we can work out a better starting xp amount or tweak practiced mechanic

I'm fine with or without Bas really either way. I did have some interesting ideas like sounding southern with a forked tongue would be interesting, plus scratching my face and poking people with my tail tip (rude) would have been fun.

I had a dumb question about practiced mechanic, it's only usable in combat though right? Maybe I'm blanking on it but it sounded like it due to needing the sacrificing the maneuver to use the ability... you only have maneuvers during combat or I guess a chase involving vehicles (I really don't want to work on a vehicle during a chase or combat where I'm hanging off the side and turning a sprocket tuner -_- I'll be shot off or fall off probably... XD)

Gearhead was a talent from Mechanic but having it as a racial is why I went with Saboteur versus just staying a mechanic for spec class and I thought the talent would be helpful since more often than not we'd probably happen upon cheapy busted field gear as a 'new find' and being able to break down unusable gear and fix/mod what we need cheaper would help we're fighting this war on a shoestring budget I figure.

I'm open to changing or tweakage or a reduction on XP. Also I noticed a tool kit is expensive while it doesn't give you a bonus to mechanics checks (I don't think) like a medpak, you can't do mechanics without a tool kit right? Am I going to have to make one 1 'borrowed' tool at a time? I can buy a gun or a tool kit starting I figure... I'd prefer to be able to shot back... can't throw my tools at people.

Hm I was under the impression it was able to be used whenever but after reading it again you're right only in combat. You're free to use it if you want then



Also you can make mechanics checks without a tool kit it just takes
more time and you usually get black dice depending on the situation
