Running the classic adventure Starfall.

I've always heard how great the old-school West End Games D6 Star Wars system is so I want to give it a shot. I'm going to be running what seems to be the agreed-upon best adventure, Starfall. I'll be using almost strictly 1e rules from the core rulebook with only 1 or 2 very minor changes. I'm expecting the adventure to last 1-2 months.

Starfall is about a group of Rebels who are escorting an important ally when they get detained aboard a Star Destroyer. The Star Destroyer gets attacked by a Rebel ambush, and the Rebels must escape the starship as its breaking apart under constant bombardment. This is an escape and rescue-type adventure.

Character creation will be choosing from the pre-made templates from the back of the core rulebook, with a few exceptions we can discuss during character creation. Preferably no Jedi, but fine with one since they are like pseudo-Jedi. The book is out of print and easy to find online with a quick google search. No experience with the system is necessary as I certainly don't have any lol. Looking for a quick start and quick finish, posting rate 5/week. If you're interested in joining, leave a comment. May the Force be with you.

Count me in too :) Similar to @Pedrop I’ve been hoping for another system (SW5e), but happy to see what this one is like :)

Lol I saw your post about 5e and held off on posting recruitment because I didn't want to post a different SW game right after you asked lol.

Haha no worries, the more recruitment posts the merrier!

We have a WEG game going in real life. It's a fun system, and the Wild Die has the potential to give you stories to tell your friends all by itself.

Have fun!!

(Personally experienced tanking a blaster shot from a TIE Fighter because of the Wild Die many years ago. Also, q-tips are now synonomous with medical checks. We still laugh about both.)

I have great memories of playing WEG Star Wars (don't know which version) many, many moons ago (realizing it can be counted in decades). The system even came up in my weekly face-to-face session this weekend, so this was very timely. Would love to give it a shot again.

Thanks! Although the Wild Die originated in 2e so we won't be using it. That was one of the deciding factors in choosing 1e is I want to experience it without and if I ever give 2e a shot I will have something to compare it to.

Welcome aboard then!

Huh. Learn something new every day I guess. I couldn't imagine not having the wild die, honestly. That stupid thing has been the source of most of our SW awesome moments. Lol

Oh man. I remember playing the old 1e version. Didn’t recall that the wild die came from 2e.

I can’t pass up a chance to play in WEG Star Wars, so if there is room, count me in.

If you need another player, I'd happily play! I've played and GM'd in many WEG 1e games and have resources like a form-fillable 1e character sheet and rules cheat sheets if you need them :-)

Sounds good. And we are full!

If you lose a player and need to bolster the ranks, please let me know. I grew up on 2E and have recently run a bunch of 2RE but would love to try 1E.

I'll put you on the reserve list! And there's always a chance if I enjoy the system, I might run another adventure after this.

Have fun! I still have all the 1e hardcovers, and was going to mention the lack of wild die if Nezz didn't. :)

I could never get my group to play it in the 80s -- so have a blast with it now!
