Ray was a sniper with the Army Rangers for 15 years before joining the police force in Henderson. He was quickly promoted to Sergeant. Durning his time with the military, he ran missions all over the world, frequently in the jungles of South America and the islands of Polynesia and Southern Asia. In his own words, he has "seen some shit, but it never saw me". He is an expert in firearms, and is one of the 20 best snipers in the world. He has encountered all types of horrors, usually in the form of cultists and terrorists. Unfortunately, he has also experienced some strange, supernatural elements of the world. He occasionally sees flashes of these shapeless horrors in his dreams, mixed with flashes of grasping tentacles and gnashing mouths impossibly full of teeth. In Henderson, he has a small, but very nice, apartment and a fairly new Jeep. He has access to any weapons, gear, and resources that could be found at a local police station. If needed, he can call in favors from members of the SWAT team, the local hospital, and his military buddies. He is not rich, but lives comfortably and has enough savings to handle any unexpected costs, including travel.
