Carved in Brindlewood and siblings in PbP?

Did anyone run a Carved in Brindlewood game in PbP?
(be it Brindlewood, the Between, Public Access or games with similar mechanics like Apocalypse Keys, External Containment Bureau, Bump in the Dark)

Does it work or is PbP ill suited to the "theory" phase?

I'm playing in a Brindlewood Bay game currently but we haven't gotten far enough yet to answer your question about "theory" portion. It's pretty fun so far thought!

I'm in the same game as Nez. I'm not sure why the "Theorize" phase wouldn't work well in PbP. What's your specific reservation?

I guess I fear this phase would not be as smooth as the rest of the game. I can see it taking a lot of time & posts and not be as "natural" as in a real-time game.

I suppose it depends. You could let one player (the one rolling) to theorize a situation. That doesn’t seem all that fun for everyone else. Otherwise, simply talk the theory out for 24-48 hours before committing it to a roll! It could always be wrong, after all!
