THE MUMMY'S CURSE

This game is using the Roll for Shoes system, which is detailed
here. Basically, you start with only a single skill, "Do Anything Lv I," and add skills as you play based on what you do. For a roll, you assemble a dice pool of d6s equal to the Lv of the skill you are using. Together, this has the effect of your character getting stronger and also better defined the more you play.

This mechanic sounds really fun! :0 Unfortunately the theme doesn't interest me (not big on historical stuff), but thank you for bringing my attention to the system!

I want to try Roll for Shoes sometime, but I don't have space/time for another game right now. :(

I love the premise of this. Systems look interesting and perfect for PbP, and I love the theme - my favorite. But I'm currently capped with my games. What frequency are you expecting? Will PC go into some pyramid?

Well I like the idea and have room for another game. Sign me up! Reading the zaniness aspect of the system, I am hoping for a Brendan Fraser Mummy vibe.

The system sounds really fun and I would love to be part of a mummy adventure a la The Mummy. I am in a couple of games already though so I am OK moving to the back of the line or being on the waiting list if players with less games are interested in joining first.

What's the expected post rate? If it's 3-5 a week, then I'm in :)

I'd be interested. The last Roll for Shoe-like game I played died and I've always wanted to revisit the system.

Ya RFS is super fun! We did an IRL one shot of it for my birthday and it was a huge smash! We were rookie FBI agents investigating a small town that was taken over by monsters! We ended up with some silly skills, and by the end of the game, we were all specialists in the things we enjoyed doing. I'd highly recommend giving the system a try, given how easy it is to pick up. It's especially good for new players and for one shots.

I try to be around every day or every other day, and I'm aiming for 2-3 posts per week from players. This game requires less negotiation than PbtA, so players can call and roll their own skills with minimal DM oversight. Hopefully this will make things move well even if we all get busy.

And yes, I definitely expect PCs to go into at least one pyramid.

I'm glad there's so much interest! I'll try to make an official game thing (tonight?) and send out invites.
