The Undying

There are a group of undying adventurers that are pushing large pieces across the board. The are all intelligent undead. One a vampire warrior, another a lich diviner, a mummy general, and a ghost illusionist.

The three above are already identified in other posts.
The ghost illusionist is Cid, the gnomish bartender and owner of The Crossroads.
He has less ability to have direct control over folk so instead he uses his abilities to influence the perceptions of others.
He has largely helped with the gearweaving technologies that held together the demon engine and steam golem construction used to help build Isla Mogila, the desert towers, and are now being hijacked by the diviner to complete immense runes.

General Feróc was the first of the four adventurers to die. His unexpected defeat at the hands of the Ice Witch forced major changes to the group's plans, which sowed serious dissent among them.

General Feroc was one of the first to be undead. And it was unexpected

Javed is the one who saw the potential in becoming undead protectors of the world.
Javed is a lich. He may be the most adept at maintaining his image and control throuhout the millenia, allowing him his own continent.
All of the undying have a continent.

Cid found a way to cross material planes. He was aware of the outer planes and knew of those dimensions. What Cid didn't know was Earth. He went and found their mechanical engineering, their chemistry, and their game theory. He also enjoyed Isaac Asimov.

Cid was a gnomish wild mage
His technology helped house Orin
House Orin owns many of the lucrative elements of the world

Javed and the other undying were all alive for the forgotten war

The Undying refer to themselves as the Remembering.

Javed with the help of the other undying created a systematic timing mechanism through which to control the opening of the next planetary event

Systems aren't perfect though and eventually things began to change
Evetyone began to see their parts as bigger than they were.
Javed grew too controlling
Tremblays Machine grew too big
Cid grew resistant
Feroc grew forlorn and disengaged

If the players destroy javed and the undying, bringing an end to their works, the event happens, no longer paused by the mechanisms and mechenations of the undying

If the players destroy Javed and the undying, but restablish or continue their works, the event can be further delayed and the mantle of waiting passed on to the adventurers. Perhaps a new way can be found

If the players don't destroy Javed, different event happens which is Javed's ascencion.

A perfect confluence is about to happen and Javed is going to gain more power.
He hides the nature of this

Javed has the book of the names of devils. Lawful evil ended up being the most profitable.
He could assign his devils as counter espionage in a world where they could not be corrupted. What he does not see is that some devils are willing to end this cycle even if it means one less soul
The devils protect his mindless wizards from dying and going to hell as a free agent.
Their task is to continually revive the protected.

Terrible visions of the nine hells and other prophetic planar alignments plauge the protected but they gain a familiar.
Javed uses wizards as a battery to fuel his long term psychohistory.

All added something
Isla Mogila was the heart of the world and the machine that kept the planes closed. This was through the use of demons

Javed brought low the pivotal member of the Ordening, a Storm Giant named Sigld Secret-Shield, a prophet king of the giants. Instead of killing the king, he instead subjected him to a terrible fate, as a calculator for his pyschohistorical divinations. Kept alive on Isla Mogila, the giant served as a ticker tape of world events to happen for Tremblay.
