Character creation, rolling and downtime

Jul 5, 2015 6:42 pm
Please follow this process for character creation:
1. Choose your race
2. Roll each of your stats using the forum generator: 4d6 (drop lowest), with no swapping, and apply your racial ability modifiers (new post > advanced > add new roll (basic) ×6 of 4d6)
(2a) If the sum of your ability modifiers is less than +1, you gain the Lucky feat
(2b) If you have no score above 13, you gain the Skilled feat
3. Choose your class, background and all other options (you can use the gods of Greyhawk and nonhuman deities in the PHB. There are also a bunch of human languages in the Greyhawk Players Guide along with background information if you want to check it out online.)
(3a) you may also roll for wealth, do anything by the book. All ToEE races/spells revealed in the 5e supplement are available
4. Spend up to 30 days downtime if it suits you

Thanks - I hope this creates some very 'Interesting' characters

Settled on Monk class, Knight Background (taking the Retainer Background feature). She will be a special order of monk that must adventure in the world then return to defend their home when they feel they have learned something that significantly adds to the knowledge of the Order. There will be more info on the character sheet to come.

They don't fit any of the ideas I had, but I can think of a couple of cools things. I will give it some thought and get back to you

I have the makings of a pretty good Fighter. I could also make a decent Monk or Cleric too. I'll listen to anybody's insights or ideas too and come up with something soon :)

Hi naatkinson, please re-roll in this thread now that I have blocked post deletion. Not that I am against anyone rolling crazy high stats (or saying you re-rolled bad stats/cheated) - i want everything done on the books to keep it fair

I will see what everyone else wants to play but at the moment I am thinking about a Light Cleric that dips Rogue at 1st level for skills and trap capability. I will look at the mechanics and see if I can make it work
