The Southern Wastes

An expanse of snow and ice (1) that is populated mostly by Frost Giants (1) who are clerics of Don Joswee (1)

The Frost Giants are in a period of decline and have lost a number of their holdings in the past few decades (1). While still a considerable force, they have been forced to consolidate their people after a number of civil wars, orcish incursions, and the occasional white dragon attack (2). Prince Lysof is currently the most politically powerful of the frost giants, although divided loyalty is still a problem within his domain (1). He has spent the past few years aggressively hoarding powerful artifacts once lost to his people in order to secure his power (1).

The theme of the Frost Giants is Thawing (1).

The oldest artifacts must be consumed, either unleashing their truest power, or destroying them and their possessor, in the process (1).

Half Giants exist on a slightly elevated tier within the society (1). While they are not full blooded royals (1) they are treated with more dignity than the tunnel toiling underraces (1).

Sleds are the most common form of travel around the wastes (1).

Sharkpeople hunt the coastal waters for mermaids and careless merchants (1).

The Frost Giant conviction in their Titan ancestry drives their acquisition and consumption of artifacts. They seek to regain their rightful heritage, believing that true Titan artifacts will give it to them when found and used. (3)

While they may be thawing, the frost giants still have access to the great wealth they retrieve by tunneling for residuum. The recent acquisition of a lamp of genie control has increased efficiency in retrieving the material and not all nobles have given up hope for their continued survival. However, other nobles have begun to lift restrictions on interbreeding and more half giants are being born in other parts of the wastes.

The Eternal Battle - a frozen field in constant blizzard where the shapes of giants and Titans are locked in combat. Orcs patrol this area and also hunt the beasts such as mammoth that roam the area.

Consuming artifacts or residuum permanently increases a frost giant's strength or magical prowess (leveling up).

Tensions between the frost giants and Dragonwick are currently quite high, after the giants discovered bands of looters stealing titan bone to pass off as cheap dragonbone on the black market.

The giants have had to learn how to tap into the planetary resources just as the lesser races did.

By creating followers of Don Joswee, it created an order outside of the ordening

The ordening is over on this plane. Giants will find it hard to come back into power while also preventing the next cyle.

There is a frozen titan on the southern continent.
The ice giants seek to bring him back . . . and his white dragon mount. This was the parent of the one fought by the adventurers. The ice palace there had been built over the ancient site.

In the ice sleeps Lord and Mount

The dragon passed on it's lingeage of having freakish size and all White dragons on the southern continent are one size category larger than their monster manual size. All other stats remain the same.
