OOC:
Yeah, Commander!

What do you need me to roll to strategically and temporarily alter her ship? Do her engineers provide any help roll-wise?

OOC:
Hed like to build a knockout gas grenade or two, using his formula in a smaller, more concentrated version, so if for some reason the pump on the ship fails, he can still clear a room.

Also, as for what Marbo wants to know, Thats a hard choice. He wants to know everything. I guess hell ask what Darcy Jr.s Intents are towards Commander Cassano, Like, is she actively trying to undermine her, or is she just a majestic thunderbitch?

Cass gives the slightest of smiles. "Thank you, Captain, but I feel confident in my ability to lead my crew."
Captain Tulak returns her smile. "I'm glad to hear that, Commander. I prefer to stay with my crew. Although our part in this mission is less active, it is not any less dangerous than yours."
Darcy speaks up next: "Captain, Commander, we should assign the teams for this mission. We will need three hull teams and three boarding parties."

Laser Feeling: Darcy sees this situation as an opportunity to prove her suitability for a position as First Officer or Captain. She feels that she deserves command more than Cass and is trying to make herself look as good as she can in the eyes of Spacefleet while simultaneously making Cass seem less capable than she is.
OOC:
Marbo, if you want to change your course of action, you can do so. If not, you have to successes, so you would be able to build working gas grenades.

OOC:
Id like to build them, and pack them away on my suits belt.

Cass says, "Dr. Zlam and Lt. Comm. Bruce will suggest Potential personnel for the technical requirements of the mission. As a security and tactical expert, Darcy, you'll make recommendations for the remaining members of the teams. Comm. Lewis, if you'd like to provide Antarctica personnel, I'm sure Dr. Zlam and Lt. Comm. Darcy would welcome the additional manpower."

OOC:
Marbo, you will be on one of the hull teams, I assume. What about Moira? Will she join a team and if yes, Marbo's or a different one?
Feb 26, 2019 5:46 pm
OOC:
Yes, Marbo will be on a hull team, preferably with moira if shell join him. Although hed never show it, Marbo admires moiras skill with cutting tools and such, and would prefer to have her help him install the gas device to one of the vessels.

Moira nods at Marbo. Think we can identify tha top-prioirty ship? Ah'd be happy ta go with yeh if tha Commander sees fit. Ensign Chet'll be up fer the task, too.
OOC:
Moira understands that Cass may prefer to have her on the ship, and she's fine with that.

OOC:
Cass fully expects that Moira will wind up on one of the hull-breach teams, given the nature of the technical challenges. From a player standpoint, I'm a little concerned that that leaves Cass with no PCs to watch her back re: Darcy Jr., but from a story standpoint, it makes more TNG-like sense for Moira to be on one of the away teams, because never send junior officers to do what you could risk senior officers to do instead! :D

Yer learnin, Lass!!

OOC:
I mean, realistically, the Commander could join our boarding party too, shes that determined to rescue our crewmates, she would lead the charge.

OOC:
Yeah, wouldn't that look great on Darcy Jr.'s report - Comm. Cassano abandoned her ship to lead a risky away mission. Besides, I'm saving that move for if something comes up where a hotshot pilot is our only hope. ;)

Are we out of the meeting with the Antarctica crew? Did Archer want to lend us any personnel?

OOC:
The Antarctica will give you people that you need. I was trying to establish where the PCs would go and then fill up the other teams with NPCs.

If you have no further questions or points to discuss with Tulak or the others, we can end the meeting
Feb 26, 2019 9:37 pm
OOC:
I'm good with ending the meeting. I'd like to talk to Moira and Darcy Jr. about something before they both head out.
Feb 26, 2019 9:41 pm
Marbo is no longer in the medbay, instead choosing to walk around the potential in full EVA gear, waving one of the dart guns around and explaining how they work to the personnel from the Antarctica. Most of them appear to be lost, between his complex descriptions and rapid hand movements, and most just stare at the rifle uncertainly.

OOC:
We can skip over the formalities of ending the meeting then. Tulak and her crew members beam back to the Antarctica, leaving you time to talk to the two.

Cass addresses her remaining officers. "While I have faith in our plan and in the abilities of all involved, I want to plan for contingencies. The last time we met the pirates, they were pretty insistent about boarding our ship. If things go sideways on this mission, it's a safe bet that they'll try to get aboard, so... I'd like us to install some surprises for them.

"I want to interfere with their ability to gain control and protect as many of our crew as possible. And since they have familiarity with Consortium ships, those surprises should be as far from Spacefleet regular as possible. Any ideas?"
Feb 26, 2019 10:33 pm
Marbo strolls in, seemingly just in time, with the gas grenades on his belt.

"Commander." he says, holding one of the grenades up and shaking it gently.

"Marbo is prepared. Always."
Feb 26, 2019 10:44 pm
Moira grins wildly.

Commander, yeh don't spend ten cycles on a ship without daydreamin' now an' then. Ah've played with so many scenarios in tha holodeck. Everythin' from breaches ta tap-dancin' Celophades infectin' tha Cap'n!

So, ah, anyway.

If anyone's got a pressure sensor, once we're all gone, mah men can set one in tha transporter room. Then we could rig tha fire doors ta engage when there's pressure, instead when tha usual alarm's called. Quick re-wire, since there's an alarm in tha room anyway, with a one-digit change ta tha bypass code fer when all's said an' done. Should take twenty minutes.

Then! If we borrow a gas sample from tha good doctor, let tha replicator learn it, get yeh ta bypass its danger code before we leave, then if anybody gets inta a room with one, all our men'll hafta do is call fer tha doctor, as tha trigger. Messy, sure, but here's hopin' tha Antarctica can help us in that case. Ten minutes.

And finally, Commander, ah can disable warp tha same way ah'll be disablin' tha Antarctica. Teach mah people how to bypass. Probably a hammer. But then if tha pirates make it past all tha rest, they cannae leave tha system. Another ten. Whaddya think, Commander?
