Question: Has anyone sent the coordinates that Kendall managed to get from the pirate ship to the Antarctica?
OOC:
I probably dropped the ball on that one. Did that come in while Cass was still in the tube? Or was that something Kendall told Cass when she asked if she could beam aboard the pirate ship if the shields were down?
Mar 19, 2019 1:32 pm
OOC:
She got the info after she went to the pirate ship before when you sent the strike team afterwards. I'm just wondering if you ever did anything with them. You might have said something already but ai don't remember

OOC:
Oh you mean the ship's log of places it has been? Yes, Cass sent those a long time ago.

OOC:
Okay, I wasn't sure anymore. Just wanted to make certain what happened.

Can't imagine why anyone is confused. It's all so straightforward. :D

Sometimes I wake up and I'm sure I dreamed some of this. But no, it was actually part of a post.

As a player, I know what’s going on, and I know I can jump in.

Kendall, however, is really trying to restrain herself and not step on Cass’ toes, so all of the chatter on her communicator without any of her input being considered or not being put into action is making her antsy.

Her organizational discipline has not been practiced in years.

OOC:
Okay. I was misled by the fact that Kendall went to sickbay to find Cass when the comm was open when Cass went to the bridge. Sorry I misinterpreted.

Moira shakes her head, hoping her plan to mend things will be enough.

She looks over at her tank that contains a variety of small crustaceans from various systems, all floating in neutra-saline, or hovering in a gas suspension. She thinks for a moment of comming Marbo.

...

Nah.

bowlofspinach says:
Robb, in the isolation of the airlock you open up the containment field and begin surgery. You cut open the dead body of the pirate and extract the parasite. It is a disgusting creature, the size of a human forearm, dark green, in appearance similar to an oversized slugs but with meaty wrinkles all over its body. Some thin tendrils hang off its heavy body and it is covered completely in human blood.
It appears weak and lifeless, drained from the long time it had been forced to spend outside of a host body.
Without much difficulty, you insert it into the crude robot body and attach it to the system. You close the container it is in and look over your work. The feeding material in the container starts to wilt away almost immediately, turning light grey in color and shrinking into a small, slimy pile.

You don't notice anything wrong until, in a moment of carelessness, one of the robot's primitive pincer claws grips your arm painfully tight. By your calculations, the creature should have taken some time to learn how to control the robot, at least an hour.
You can see the parasite's mandibles move as they produce a series of clicking noises. The universal translator interprets its clicking to you as: "Take me to Captain Tulak right now!"
Its claw keeps digging into your skin painfully.
OOC:
At what point does Kendall walk in? Is it at this moment, or at a different point?

Marbo stares at the arm, locked tight in the space slugs pincers.

"Why must every sentient race i discover be so difficult? Do you understand the scenario you are in? You are given a chance at life and you have thrown it away. All i have to do is say the word and we get shot into space. Let go of my god damn arm, or i will ride you into the nearest sun!"

Marbo stares at the slugs housing, or wherever he would be "seeing" from. Once hes made "eye" contact, he will stare the creature down, one of his free arms pointing out of the airlock into space.
OOC:
Im gonna roll feelings to bluff this slug into behaving.

Rolls

Feelings - Ill end this slug. i will take us into space. I swear i will do it. - (1d6)

"Under current circumstances, I would be more likely to survive this than you would - and you are not willing to die just yet." The pincer does not release its grip or even loosen it. "Just take me to her and I promise, I won't kill or inhabit you."

The security officer outside the airlock is staring through the window with unsure eyes. He's pointing to the airlock release, silently asking Marbo if he should blow the two of you into open space.
Mar 19, 2019 5:01 pm
Marbo pauses, closing his eyes and taking a long, deep inhale.

"Its not the space that will kill you, its the free radiation, the sudden de-pressurization of a suit that is clearly not built to withstand those force, and the below freezing temperature. But im wearing a space suit, and youve made your choice.

Marbo activates the wall comm to cassano;

"Commander. Zlam. Catch me."

With that, he turns to the security officer and gives a quick nod. closing his eyes and waiting for the sudden burst of pressure to send him and the skug flying through space.

OOC:
Robb, give me a quick Feelings roll, unprepared, no expert
Mar 19, 2019 5:07 pm
"Marbo? What does that mean? Marbo??"
Mar 19, 2019 5:36 pm
Kendall walks in and sees this exchange, waiting to see what comes of it.

Kendall. I'm picturing you as Skywalker and Marbo as Obi Wan.
ROBB. Was Marbo's comm on? If Moira had the safe word, would he have her patched in?

Heh heh. Safe word. Heh heh.

OOC:
Marbos comm was only on long enough to tell Cassano to catch him. If he wanted to come back in, he would have commed Moira and told her the safeword, and had her route the airlock controls from engineering. Marbo is having a Mad Science moment, and is about to space this Slugly son of a bantha.
