SEND IN THE CLONES

Will-O-WSP-1 suddenly finds himself completely free of pain or worry.

Unfortunatley, this is because Will-O-WSP-1 is dead.

A G8R-bots drags the clone's lifeless body into the sludge.

A moment later, Will-O-WSP-2 appears back at the doorway.

Cart looked at Brett, injured as he was. He remembered Brett's helpfulness in attempting to assist Will-O earlier, and decided to give him the benefit of doubt. "Lily-livered lizard," Cart remarked emotionlessly at Will-O's disappearing body, then, back to Brett "I may have a way to get us back up. Watch for the creatures in the meantime." Cart put away his pistol and multicorder, and fished out his neurowhip instead. With it he attempted to lash it over the handrail above them, in order to use it as a makeshift rope to climb up (without turning it on, of course!).

OOC:
Was I properly equipped by Friend Computer with a rope to help my fellow troubleshooters?
I move past the guys strangely standing by the door. Clearly something strange is going on here. Could it be this horrendous smell? "Hello? Anyone there?" I ask as I carefully move down the walkway, unaware of Cart, Brett or even Wyatt's positions.

Will requested a rope and was outfitted with one.

Unfortunately Cart's whip does not have the length required to reach the handrail

Cart had a moment of realisation at Will's last words that the shot fired at him was a mistake. Well, too late for that, he thought. So when he heard the new voice call out, identical to Will's, he understood the new arrival of a new clone. "Over here!" And turned on his neurowhip and waved it around, so that Will could spot the glow. "Watch out for the troubleshooters at the entrance. One of them will shove you! Much malarkey!"

As I hear Cart's voice, I notice the glow from his neurowhip. I then turn back an look again at the immobile troubleshooters. They do look eerily quiet... AI assemble my laser pistol I ask "What do you mean, they will shove me?" and start approaching very slowly and carefully Cart's position, keeping an eye on anything that moves. I will also carry a prefabricated official artificial rock on my other hand.
OOC:
By the way justin, out did you take over a player's character? I may be needing that in my game :D

"Watch your back. New team leader will shove you into the water. Not nice." Cart exclaimed.

Seeing as Will's body was dragged by a G8R-bot(or maybe he doesn't), Brett anxiously fires blindly into the thick liquid, hoping it might hit and dissuade any more bots from attacking.

I look at Cart carefully "Are you saying that the team leader carefully selected by Friend computer is a traitor? Is that what you're saying? is it?" I suspicious ask, completely unaware of Wyatt's previous actions.

Cart feels the heat of a nearby laserbeam as Brett's blast just narrowly misses his face. Reeling back he can see the top of a G8R-bot on the surface of the sludge a moment before it directs a whip of the tail at him.

The hit connects sucking the wind out of Cart and knocking him prone in the sludge. He tumbles further downstream.

Will-O-WSP-2 witnesses all this from the walkway above. The other Will and Dave remain back by the door. Wyatt has fled further down the tunnel.

I'm left to wonder who's the trouble here and continue carefully keeping an eye of both groups, the one by the door and the on on the sludge

"I am saying that oooof -" Cart was caught mid-sentence by the attack of one of the G8R-bots and reeled downstream from the hit. Instinctively he lashed out at the bot with his neurowhip as he tried to regain his footing, and draw his laser pistol too just in case.

The neurowhip cracks with electricity as cart pummels the G8R-bot causing it to retreat for the time being.

Meanwhile up on the walkway Will hears the sound of several squeeking voices like a gang of filthy sewer vermin.
Jun 2, 2019 6:51 am
"Hey guys, is there really no way we can escape from this sludge?" Brett says as he eyes the pistol in his hand.
Jun 2, 2019 7:39 am
"Bloody communist vermins!" I shout at no one in particular as I ready my blaster and look around to find the origin of these voices. Just in case it’s is in my head, due to the toxic stench of this mutated place of evil unfriendly analogue place, I also put my gas mask on.
Jun 2, 2019 8:13 am
Catching a moment's reprieve from the bot's attacks, and looking at Brett nearby, "If we cannot get back up, let us see if we can head to the source of the traitorous music. Upstream? Offensive organs!" Cart, having been submerged in the foul muck, also decided to put his gas mask on, but not before hollering out to the new guy he was talking to mid-sentence, "I was saying that one of our team members up on the walkway traitorously promised to aid us, but instead shoved me into this sludge. Be careful, loyal teammate, in case he does the same to you."
