Chapter III: Reunited

Marbo makes sure the phaser is secured where hes hidden it on his person, and proceeds with his datapad down towards the cargo bay. Hes been running a plan over the ships network to all available hands to move some of the equipment to cargo bay 3, attempting to coordinate and guide them to creating a capable medbay. With moira gone from the ship, he is unsure of how he will have a bio filter activated over the cargo bay though.

I assume the door from the cargo bay to the rest of the ship is biofilter-secured. You probably don't want the cargo bay itself to be biofiltered

Zephyr, you access the console, trying to access security systems to get a better overview of the situation but before you can get anything, both doors to the bridge suddenly open. From both of them, four people each jump into the room and immediately take cover behind various consoles and start shooting their phasers at your group. You can hear more clicking from behind the doors, so you know more infected are out there.
Two of your security officers get hit before they can make it to cover and fall to the ground. One of the pirates goes down immediately as well. The others continue shooting at you.

Cass, the same moment that all this chaos breaks loose on the Verdun's bridge, which you would hear over comm, Mezron yells out: "Commander, the Verdun just raised its shields. We can't beam anyone out of there!"
Only a second later, you receive a comm from Darcy: "What is going on Cassano? Should we power up our systems?"

"It looks like the closest ship's engines are powering up. We should get ready for their imminent arrival!"
