Chapter III: Reunited

"Darcy here. Commander, the door to the medbay has been equipped with a biofilter and is unlocked. If you want, I can have it sealed."
A nurse that had been waiting in the temporary medbay quickly secures Zephyr to the bed. He does not show any reaction to being touched or moved but when the nurses activate the medical sensors, they start sounding multiple alarms immediately. Unless the doctors take care of him immediately, Zephyr will be dead within the next two minutes.

Marbo rushes over to the emergency station he had set up earlier.

Grabbing some of his tools, and laying his datapad out on a stand so he can read the collected data on former slug victims, he prepares to operate and stabilize Zephyr when he is brought to him,

Immediately after arriving, Marbo begins the surgery. He went through the required steps to save Zephyr many times in his head and there are no complications. The parasite is completely gone and the separation of brain and body has not been conducted yet. It only takes Marbo a few minutes to stabilize Zephyr and to reanimate the brain to begin its normal functions again.
Before Lorq can even get a word in to ask how he can help Marbo, the four-armed fish has already finished the operation.
Zephyr will survive - and what is even more astounding, he should be able to wake up as soon as kona is back online. He might carry some heavy psychological trauma from the events he lived through the last few hours but physically, he is in perfect condition once again, although he has gone a bit pale and the next time he looks in the mirror, he might find some grey hair that wasn't there before.

Cass suddenly does recall Darcy asking about an engineer asking to board the Potential. "Right, I was a little busy with a mutiny at the time. I didn't authorize or even know anything about it. What happened - did they show up in a runabout or something asking to board? And where are they now?

"Lt. Comm. Bruce, thank you for calling in. I apologize but I did not understand your question. Could you please restate it?" Darcy's tone clearly indicates that she did understand what you wanted to know. She probably just did not appreciate the way you phrased it. "And are you with the commander? How is Lt. Comm. Borealis?"

"Those envoys were just a single engineer. He called in and claimed to have permission by his captain to come on board. He requested to talk to someone who knows their way around the transporters. He's in a shuttle near the Four and hasn't moved since I have denied his request to come on board."
She does not acknowledge Moira's "Sorry"

"Patching through."
There is some waiting time before you hear a new voice over the comm, deep and male. "This is [clicking] of the Four. Who am I speaking to?"

There is a pause before you receive a reply: "Understood. I will talk to the captain."

"What are you talking about? A mutiny on one of our ships? That is unheard of"
