She’s about to say "poor lad who had ‘is hands ripped off an’ tried ta murder Cass," but she sees Zephyr and thinks better of it.

bowlofspinach says:
Zephyr, whichever kind of encoding system the slugs are using, you are unfamiliar with it. The task gets even harder since you do not have much experience with their language and especially not with past codes they have used before, which would be a valuable resource in understanding this one.You are able to grasp some basic information from the communications. They seem to be reporting about the attempts at diplomacy with the Potential and about the prisoner exchange that has been proposed. The Four is telling whoever they were messaging to hold off with "merging the prisoner" and not to further disassemble the robot while these negotiations are ongoing. There is also repeated mention of what you assume is the name of one parasite. You are unable to determine any further information than this from the intercepted messages.
She's about to take her leave to go back to the bridge to hail the Four and talk terms of prisoner exchange with the captain when the full impact of what she's proposing really hits her. She's going to try to bring these bastards back to life. Spacefleet is ordering her to bring them back. To reconstitute the slug who'd tried to eat his way into her body, and who had actually succeeded in doing that to Marbo.
This is too much for Spacefleet to ask of her, too much to expect her to ask of her crew - especially of Marbo and Zephyr.
Realizing that she's standing motionless and staring into the middle distance while the the rest of them watch her with wary expressions, Cass puts the mask of command firmly back in place, says "Carry on," and leaves the temporary medbay.
