Some PC races are not present on Ravnica or called the same names. Certain races require slight re-skinning to work in this world. This is a conversion list of my own making. I do not want to stifle anyone though. I am wiling to discuss any changes to make your character concept work. I don't want to change rules, but I'm willing to re-skin an orc to be a "Giant" if that is what you want to do. There are lots of races to choose from, so hopefully we can make your idea work in game.
Dwarves - For some reason Dwarves don't appear in Ravnica. For this game though we could slip them in. They would be highly aligned with the Boros, Orshov, Azorius, or Rakdos. Possibly any of the Red or White aligned guilds really.
Elves - The elves of Ravnica never truly divided into different species, but bloodlines formed within the guild tradition. High-elves are most commonly associated with the Simic Combine, but have are the most likely to be found in other Guilds. Wood elves congregate among the Selesnya or the Gruul. Drow are elves accustomed to darkness, and thus are found among the Golgari and the Dimir most often.
Halflings - Like gnomes, halfling (or kithkin) are not known on Ravnica. Rather they are called Faerie. They are often associated with the Izzet and Simic guilds. No rules changes are needed, all Halflings are just a subrace of Faerie
Gnomes - Like halfling (or kithkin), gnomes are not known on Ravnica. Rather they are called Faerie. They are often associated with the Izzet and Simic guilds. No rules changes are needed, all Gnomes are just a subrace of Faerie
Dragonborn - On Ravnica the Dragonborn are known as Viashino. They are most commonly associated with the Red guilds, but otherwise remain unchanged.
Half-elf - Half-elves have not appeared in Ravnica, but there are elves and humans, so half-elves could fill any spot either of those races does. We can just pretend that no one of this race ever rose to prominence before.
Half-orcs & orcs - Orcs have not appeared in Ravnica, but I won't rule out their existence. Again, no members of the orc or half-orc race has risen to prominence before. Orcs surprisingly have a lot in common with dwarves. They would easily find a place in any of the Red aligned guilds, but aren't limited to them under the tenants we are playing with.
Tiefling - Devils and Demons are rarely seen unchained on the streets of Ravnica, but it happens. Tieflings are the by product of dark deeds performed years ago and the taint still lingers. Being more human like than their ancestors, Tieflings are mostly tolerated but called Devils or Demons. They are most often member of the Cult of Rakdos, or in the employ of the Dimir, but strange times make strange bedfellows. No other changes are needed.
Aarakocra - The bird people on other planes are called Avens, but Ravnica does not typically have them. They might have been brought and left by the Eternals during the War of the Spark. Alternately, you can erase the bird heads and play one as an Angel, or as a Simic Hybrid...a mutation of another species created to battle the Eternal's Aven forces.
Aasimar - A race of angelic beings requires very little to be changed. The real question is how did this angel lose their wings? Most Aasimar are associated with the Boros Legion or the Orshov Syndicate.
Firbolg - This race is one of the larger PC races and is categorized as a Giant. The Boros Legion has a large number of Giants, but the Gruul Clans or Selesnya Conclave are open to their presence if they have strong connections to nature.
Goliath - This race is one of the larger PC races and is categorized as a Giant. The Goliath race has a lot in common with the Boros Legion giants and would fit well there, but the Gruul Clans have their fair share as well.
Kenku - The Kenku are another race that doesn't fit well into the Ravnica world as written. That said there are a couple possible explanations for them. House Dimir might have bred you to be a spy, in which case your race would be Horror. Not many Horrors are fully sentient so you would be a special case. Or perhaps the Simic Conclave made you. You could be another example of a Simic Hybrid created during the War.
Lizardfolk - On Ravnica the Lizardfolk are known as Viashino. They are most commonly associated with the Red guilds, Gruul Clans especially, but otherwise remain unchanged.
Tabaxi - Much like the Aarakocra, Tabaxi don't have a predetermined place on Ravnica. The cats of Ravnica are not anthropomorphic. You could have been brought here by Ajani the planeswalker and stayed to explore the new plane, or be yet another Simic Combine Hybrid offshoot.
Triton - The triton race are called Merfolk on Ravnica. Specifically, your bloodline has adapted to life on the surface, but other members of your race still possess fish tails and stay underwater more often than not or use powerful magic to get around. Tied strongly to the Simic Combine, in the Aftermath though they could belong to any of the Blue guilds.
Gensai - All the elemental races are available but the people of Ravnica call them Weirds. Ravnicans associate them with the Izzet League, and most weirds are non-sentient servants, but you could be special. Really any guild could have purchased a weird and given it sentience through some strange magic.
