Steef looks and finds errad and go to errad and says to "him you are errad right i heard a lot about i will be you're new master do you have any questions"
Jun 28, 2019 8:38 pm
Errad was taken aback.

"Forgive me, Master. The Council did not tell me who was to be my Master when I met with them this morning. If I am being honest, I was a bit surprised to be assigned to this mission considering my performance at the Temple. I expected something a bit less, uh, menial. My research skills and insights were praised highly by the Masters at the Temple. I assumed I would be continuing to do the work I had done there when I was paired with a
Master. I have to say that going off into the wilderness to homestead was not what I had in mind.

Ukchanak1 says:
Alyx looks around, a bit lost with all of the socializing. Holding her data pad close to her chest, she watches Ian's new master actually talking calmly and - if possible - casually, with Ian, and she smiles a little. Looking over the crowd again, she sees Kaine waving to her where he hadn't been before. Looking down at her datapad again: 'Master: Knight Kaine,' she starts pushing through the couples. "Excuse me," she murmurs, using her slight height and slender build to slip through the chatting Jedi.

She finally gets past and breathes a bit easier in the clear, and smiles a bit nervously up to knight Kaine. "Master." She winces and wonders if he will mention how she destroyed a bunch of electrical cords and wires. I really hope Ian brought those himself instead of stealing them from the hanger bay . . .
He gives her a gentle smile and nod. "Well met." His voice is like a distant thunderstorm, a roll of rumbling bass. Green eyes crinkle, in amusement. "That was excellent form for someone your age. Probably could have just unplugged the cables but music is an industry full of harsh criticism, isn't it?" He gestures back towards the ship, before folding his hands across his stomach like the older masters might. "Are you nervous?"

Nightghoul16 says:
He glances at Ian when he catches up. "I'm very disappointed Ian..." he pauses a moment to see his reaction. "I didn't even get to hear your performance. He acts as if he is lost in thought then suddenly, "I've got it. Why don't you sing for us all in the mess hall at dinner. We can have everyone give you constructive criticism afterwards, and if it goes well we can have you sing every night. He smiles to himself as he continues walking towards a steward to get Ian checked in.
OOC:
I'm sorry if my posting seems sporadic. I am traveling right now but I should still be able to post during the day.
Arching an eyebrow, Ian shakes his head before he barks out a laugh. "Sure, pal. If you wanna reward me by gettin' ta irritate an entire captive audience, I'll oblige. As long as I get dinner, I'll be more than happy ta star in ma own one man show."

He snickers slightly, raising his hands to lace them behind his neck, "I -would- be remiss if'n I didn' warn ya first that yer foray inta reverse psychology is gonna backfire on ya -super- quick."

Lark sighs, as he is once again left without a companion, and glances around. Everyone seems busy, from the Jedi to the ship's staff, and even the port's mechanics, and he doesn't want to impose. He waves after Errad, not even sure if he was seen - but content to leave him alone, - and then keeps walking, musing about what to do. Looking for the cabin he was to stay in seemed like an obvious choice, but then again... If everyone were busy, there was no one to stop him from getting to the engine rooms of the ship, right? Maybe he can chat with the ship's engineers, make some friends.
Humming a song he heard somewhere under his nose, the Padawan heads further into the ship, looking at the signs on the walls, quickly turning away from more populated corridors to the more technical parts of the Boundless. The staff mostly ignores him, although some guards follow him with wary looks that scream "should we stop him?", but Lark makes sure to look like he is on a mission. Usually it works with people who doesn't know him.

Nightghoul16 says:
Lillian slowly stands up from behind one of the crates in the docking area. Removing her fingers from her ears she asks, "is it over?" Looking around she sees that the robots have stopped acting strange and makes her way towards the ramp. As she passes the others she says in a soft voice, "I'm going to have a look around the ship."
On her way up, Lillian encounters a young woman in grey robes who honestly only appears to be about nineteen or so. Her smile is kind and warm and her clasped hands make her look even more sweet and innocent. Long, white hair cascades loosely down her shoulders, "Lillian Heeks? I'm Knight Kaapel. I'm really excited to meet you. I looked up all your test scores and I'm really happy to have you as my first Padawan." When Knight Kaapel speaks the tone is almost syrupy sweet. There's no hint of condescension, she just really seems to be treating Lillian like she's eight instead of fifteen. It's especially ironic since she only appears a few years older than Lillian herself.

OOC:
Hah, both of my characters got outright ditched. XD Maybe I should make them meet after all.
Charlie watches Veria leave, apparently opting to ignore his offer completely, and sighs. Sometimes he wishes he had more friends among the Jedi, or at least was better at talking to people outside of tactical meetings and battlefields, but as it stands, here he was with no company besides the maps and the Arkania hologram - and, of course, his trusty axes. Chuckling, West moves to exit the Council room, briefly glancing towards the entrance of the ship, contemplating seeking out Steef or Merrick - the guy seemed nice, and a good warrior, it was probably worth it to invite him to spar later, - but eventually deciding against it.
Instead, Charlie turns the opposite direction, intent on looking for the closest place he can practice in. There should be training grounds somewhere on the ship, and hopefully they aren't equipped just to handle lightsabers. He was itching to do something physical after sitting through a debriefing, and that usually ended up in property damage...

OOC:
Oh, crap. I'm sorry, I missed your post! There were so many that came through today.
Jun 28, 2019 11:25 pm
OOC:
Haha, it's fine! XD (I believe our GM missed my attempt to interact with NPC as well, maybe I'm just having no luck today. :D) It was certainly a lor of posts. I kinda wish we had separate threads for locations, or a way to tag people with which characters we try to interact, so it was harder to miss... With all the teachers and students it's becoming a lot of action all in one place.

OOC:
That might be a good idea. I honestly expected less enthusiasm. Most of the games on here seem to be a lot slower. And I did see Lark's thing, I was just preparing something for him that's a little more in depth. Also, congratulations on rolling the first Critical, Lark. It was for Fortune, read below to find out if it was a Critical Success or Failure.
As Lark wanders he finds it's paradoxically easy and next to impossible to find his way throughout the ship. Terminals and signs give plenty of information about what deck or section he's in but do nothing to tell him -where- he is. He could be three meters from the bridge or right outside Waste Reclamation.

He passes through a random corridor, having no clue where he is when he is greeted at the end by huge, bulky, double doors. The words 'Main Engineering' are written across them in huge lettering. The door opens, a crewmen walks past and Lark is greeting with the sight of a full, naval fusion generator, hyperdrive motivator and power control systems. They rise up at least three decks before his view is cut off by the closing doors.

Main Engineering. The heart of the Boundless.

"As you say, Master."

Errad followed Steef back into the Boundless with more questions then he'd had when he arrived. His new Master was nothing like he'd expected. Master Steef seemed very down to earth and balanced. On the one hand, Errad appreciated that. He did not want a Master who was a hot head or a warmonger.

On the other hand, though Errad could be wrong, Mastef Steef did not seem particularly scholarly; none of the Masters he'd seen so far from the Boundless seemed especially so. The one who had been assigned to the Togruta seemed particularly thick. He definitely thinks with his lightsaber, Errad thought to himself smiling.

The Boundless appeared clean and well-maintained to Errad. He did not know much about ships beyond the basics taught at the Temple. He hoped it would be a long and boring trip to Arcania. He had plenty to think about and even more to sort regarding his new life as a padawan.

steef99 says:
Zambar chuckles and looks to his master and says "I will try to exceed your exceptions but I have one question when are we gonna start I waited here so long" then zambar continue reading his book
Merrick laughed to himself. Zambar might be more reserved, but he had spirit. Merrick appreciated that.

"It seems that patience will be your first lesson, padawan" ,Merrick said with a mischievous sparkle in his eye, "your first task will be to get to know the ship as well as you know that datafile you are reading. You will start in lower engineering and you will memorize its exact layout down to the last bolt. You will memorize it so well that you will be able to recreate it visually in a three dimensional map, verbally by describing it perfectly in a speech before the other Masters and padawan, and physically by walking the entire section blindfolded. Each of these tasks you will complete with perfect memory in addition to your other lessons and duties. When you have completed this task to my satisfaction, you will move to the next deck above it and perform the same task. By the end of this exercise, you will know the Boundless better than your childhood sleeping quarters. I would like you to complete this assignment by the time we reach Arkania. If you have no further questions, padawan, I suggest you get hopping."

"Ok sir I'm going to start the task"

"So errad if you want to go and continue looking with that kid you was with when you came for me that's OK but if you want to stay with we will discusse your training me and you "
Jun 29, 2019 2:28 am
"If it is all the same to you, Master" ,Errad said, "I am curious about the direction of my training. I will catch up with Padawan Lark later. My specialties are Jedi Lore and Republic History and Law. I have made an exhaustive study of both. I hope it will prove useful once we get to Arkania. How do you plan to direct my studies going forward, Master?"
Jun 29, 2019 2:34 am
Steef smiled and said to errad "Well your will be three day of scholar training in law and his etc and three days of combat and force training and one day for rest is that ok with you ?"

"Who said anything about reverse psychology? I only thought that you wanted to perform for everyone." Eventually they find a steward. "Ian Maxwell here is checking in."

After getting confirmation Zatee begins to lead him further into the ship. "Come along I'll show you to your quarters" Being a bit of a prankster from his youth Zatee already took the liberty of finding his Padawan's room beforehand and kindly short sheeting his bed for him.
