OOC Discussion

So, as I'm sure everyone can tell, having all characters in one thread is a little crowded. I'd like to break up the Boundless voyage to Arkania as well as introduce some things.

Different Locations: Boundless - Padawan Quarters, Boundless - Master/Knight Quarters, Boundless - Engineering, Boundless - Bridge. I don't want things to get complicated by adding too much but I also don't want them to be complicated by adding too little. What does everyone think about this?

Group Studies: Another way to pair down the number of characters in a scene is to have one teach run a class for all the Padawans. This would be on a volunteer basis and not required. Lessons could be anything from history to philosophy to sparring matches.

Other thoughts?

I'm all in for the separated threads! It's easy to miss things like characters coming and going when everyone's together. You can probably add some place where it will make sense for anyone to cross paths, like a Cafeteria? And, on behalf of Charlie, I ask for Training Grounds. We need a dedicated space to test our fighting! :D (But then again, if we won't spend much time on the Boundless, there might not be the need for all these places. Are we going to spend much time on Chapter 1?)

The group studies sound good too! Although having one teacher and 5+ students will be a bit cramped, maybe separate them in groups of three students each with a teacher or two?

I am definitely good with the separate threads. I am especially liking the group lessons. Tormenting padawan seems to be right up Merrick's alley, lol.

I'm good with separate thread's but if anything in the story needs us to be in the same thread

We're not going to be spending too much time on the Boundless for this leg of the journey, only a week. But the Boundless is going to be the only hyperdrive capable ship that group will have access to so any action taking place off Arkania will necessarily involve it. I'll make some threads for different locations. And breaking things down with less students might be good but then are we running 2 or 3 versions of the same training exercise?

Let's say everyone wants to take Charlie's 'How to backhand your opponent' class, you'd have to run it multiple times if we're maxing out at 3 students each version. How about we leave it up to the people running the class? Have as many students as you feel comfortable with? Everyone who's interested put up their idea here. I'll put up one for Nathan here as an example. When putting up your training class remember that the Jedi don't own Boundless, they're guests and the Republic has assigned the ship to work with them.

Instructor: Nathan Kaine
Class Type: Lightsaber combat training
Twist or Detail: The students will use wooden weapons to avoid serious injury. The weapons will count as clubs (Strength +3). Additionally, the students will be paired up and fight in teams of two. Three hits on a single opponent means they're 'out'.

I was thinking more along the lines of facultative classes - I really doubt that Lilian or Errad, for example, will be interesting in backhanding any opponents, so it will naturally reduce the number of students. XD We can probably schedule these classes so there're always only one at the same time, and let students choose whether or not they want to go to each one. (Excluding, of course, a certain amount of obligatory ones.) It will also give time for teachers to rest when it's not their time to pour knowledge into the minds?

Just letting you know I'm still here, watching. :D
...Because I have no idea what to do with Lark or Charlie - one is waiting on a response (I guess, should I just improvise without waiting?), and the other is waiting on a ship launch. Does anyone here want some interaction with a friendly axe guy? XD

I believe Steef is currently teaching Errad, though? But I certainly can impose on your training session if you and mcinnis138 both don't mind Charlie crashing the party. :D

Well technically steef I blindfolding errad and leaving him to learn for him self so he is free I guess

I more meant structured classes rather than impromptu things like that. But I'm not going to stand in the way of you guys setting up your own things.

I am good with both. I think Steef's and Errad's thread disappeared. I was looking for it, but now I can't find it.

That's . . . . Not good. I didn't move anything. I'll take a look and if I can't find it I'll contact the admin.

I might have just missed it. It has been a busy week.

A GM from my other game mentioned the subforum bug (in this thread), maybe it's the reason, even though it's not a subforum? Although I can't seem to find any missing threads by going through links manually. (I vaguely recall that Steef replied in Hangar, but I might be incorrect.)
CESN says:

* First, and just to let you know, there's a subforum bug that limits them to 4 or 5 (the others are there, you just don't see them, so you may want to have a welcome thread linking to all games if you're going for a lot of games).
Also, I'm fine with structured classes! :D I can deal with a full class, was just getting worried that it'll be chaotic. But if students are separated into partners inside class, it might just be fine!

And I'll join Steef later then, when I'll write next entry of Charlie's ship wandering. XD

I have a weird question

For some people it is but we had a number of people leave and so the pairings are a little weird. I'm going to say that we should pair up whoever' available, really.
