So I’ve been trying to come up with possible connections with everybody. Full disclaimer, I do imagine that the Rabbi will butt heads with some cabal members from time to time; he’s likely to be somewhat judgey about magic outside of Qabbalism. In fact, truth be told, he doesn’t view what he does as "magick", per se. More like divine miracle-working. He likely views other paradigms as misguided. However, I won’t overdo it. A majority of the time he’ll be agreeable.
As an interesting aside, some of the Revised Edition books talk about Qabbalistic Jewish crafts, such as the Lions of Zion, and how these crafts have abstained from the Ascension War in favor of defending the Jewish people. I feel like this is a great explanation for Mordecai’s split from the other Hasidim. Perhaps he wanted to take an active part in the war, believing that going on the defensive would ultimately prove disastrous.
