if in doubt, you could discribe how Glenda behaves riding a boat. Is she seasick, does she love it? It don't have be mission related

That's a good idea. Guess I was just being very mission-focused. Fortunately something happened :D

BedzoneII has expressed an interest in withdrawing from this game. With JackJack and King_Moloch having ghosted, that really just leaves Glenda and Wiki holding the fort.

I'm not sure how interested I am at this point either. World of Darkness games are my go to for IRL gaming, but my GMing style may not create enough urgency to propel a plot for PBP.

I love to play Wiki, she is a really interesting and fun Mage.... but I kind of saw this coming. I'll most likely play her again in the next mage game.

It's hard to balance a sense of urgency in a PBP game. Its easier to judge the mood at the table, then in a forum. I recently quit a star wars game where there was too much urgency. 3 IRL month with stressed characters, in the end, I had to walk away.

Before we end, would you recap the plot for us?

Yeah I think there are too few of us left to properly carry the momentum of the plot. Don't think it's about GM style though, I like the open-endedness of what you do Qralloq, but in return we need a minimum number of players to be jumping in and interacting to drive things forward. Otherwise it might end up being you having to run 'single-player' plots.

WoD is great, maybe we can revisit it in some form in the future. I know I'm still seeing you guys around :D

As a sand box game, I really just follow the characters interests for scene development, but the meta plot was as follows:

An Order of Hermes mage was secretly a Nephandi, but struggling with his own dissolution. Not yet fully committed to his fall from grace, he tried to do good but things would go awry.

Meanwhile, the Syndicate tried a bold new tactic, to lure potential reality deviants, identified through big data analysis (although that was imperfect, and often gave them only rough addresses). Then, they would be tested through sudden and shocking stress (I.e., police brutality). The true deviants would this be separated from the citizens.

So next the torn cloth would lead you to the Black Pyramid chantry, where you might figure out who your paradox causing rescuer was. I was going to use this as a wedge to bring you into chantry politics, and see what drew your attention, although I hadn't yet planned what sorts of Tradition-shenanigans you would uncover.

Once I had introduced you to that larger community, I was hoping to spring a larger conflict - I have no idea what that would be, but I was slowly leaning to Orphan-terrorists.

Honestly I prefer sandbox games to dungeon crawls, so I did appreciate the set up. Esther was just going to schmooze her way till she got what she wanted. Anyway, thanks!

Thanks, Qralloq! Sorry that the game ended up like this. I just want tell you that I was having fun with it. From my very limited experience, it seems like ghosting is something that happens on the regular. I just want tell you that I was having fun with it. I enjoyed playing with y'all!
