Is the wheel like the standard display? ie all the prizes are listed on the wheel itself, and presumably there are 30 equal segements to the wheel?
"Why this is almost unfair for Ishtar the Immortal!" Esther sashayed up to the Wheel of Fortune, but didn't spin it. She looked directly at the live camera, Is this thing on and broadcasting? Or is it just to make sure the spin is fair and legit?" She blew a kiss at the camera. "I'd best go last, otherwise my psychic powers might just let me win the top prize!"
OOC:
Esther will go last, and will use her Time sense (Time 1) to see if the wheel moves evenly, equally fast/slow etc. Coincidental.

(165) = 12

Well based on everyone else's posts I guess I'm going first. Is there anything I should add to the roll?
Conner walks up, hoping the luck spell he put on himself earlier might give him a little edge at this game, but gives the wheel a hefty shove. As it goes he looks back at Wiki and the others, with a kind of half hearted smile on his face.

Rolls

Wheel OF FORTUNE - (1d30)

(25) = 25

Glenda patiently waits her turn at the wheel. She notices Wiki is concentrating and presumes she's doing some sort of perception work, but when Connor's spin comes up, she can't help but yell out in excitement for him. She signs her name on the sheet, doing a quick peek as to what is listed on the clipboard.
OOC:
She's looking to see if there are names on there, or just addresses. Where were some of the other invites sent to?
When it's her turn, she walks up to the wheel as instructed and gives it a nice, solid pull.

Rolls

Wheel of Fortune (spin it to win it!) - (1d30)

(2) = 2

At the squeal from Glenda Conner gives her a thumbs up, and then upon seeing her results gives a polite applaud for her as well, unsure how she will respond to it, trying to come off more polite than a dick.
Aug 6, 2019 6:36 pm
Wiki steps up to the wheel and gives it a spin, and follows Glenda out to collect her iPhone-soon-to-be-spare-parts-for-the-next-project

spin the wheel - (1d30)

(4) = 4

Conner does the same for Wiki thinking to himself, Maybe that luck spell really did work.
Aug 7, 2019 2:57 pm
You each take a spin, with Linda then taking a photograph with you beside the ta-da girl, and you're escorted to the finance room where your given a couple pages of tax forms to fill out, as an IRS agent looks on.

Mordecai's huge associate is asked to wait in the hallway to protect the confidentiality of the other winners.

As you're completing this inane but necessary bureaucratic task, Ponty whispers to Conner.

Am I completely alone no one is near me?

All of you are in the same room, filling out forms at a long table, probably a few paces apart.

Someone's coming and its not good news to any of us.

Wiki whispers back
Thought as much...

Wiki is still focused on the "jamming" she has running on her friends. But it does not seem like there were some strange effects on the wheel

Conner begins zipping up his hoodie, preparing to jump in front of wiki if it is necessary. thanks Ponty, he whispers to his new ghostly companion.
Aug 7, 2019 7:40 pm
Mordecai tells Schlomo to stand outside the room. He then stares down the wheel like he’s trying to intimidate it.

He considers the matter of gambling for a moment. Depending on one’s interpretation of certain prohibitions in the Mishnah, gambling might be permissible or might not. Even lottery tickets and raffles could be problematic according to some of the stricter rabbinical commentaries. Then again, this entire gala was intended to be for a good cause, which some could argue lifts any type of halakhic ban.

With some hesitation, Mordecai finally approaches. He need not keep whatever prize he wins; it can go to charity. Afterwards he fills out the necessary paperwork while grumbling to himself in Yiddish.

OOC:
Didn't hear from the GM whether Esther could detect irregularities in the wheel through Time for her to take advantage of, so I'll proceed

"May the gods of Fortune bless us!" Esther stood on the other side of the wheel from the ta da girl, and raised her arms melodramatically in her over the top showmanship. With a flourish she spun the wheel.
OOC:
Blessing 2 background: things always go her way. Maybe she gets to affect the wheel somehow, or somehow gets the prize she wants? Edit: maybe +1 to the roll, for the top prize?

Perfect, Esther wins the Chevrolet Volt!

"Oh my! I did win the car! Ishtar sees all, tells all!" The Vegas performer hugged the ta-da girl excitedly, and turned to make a curtsy and a bow to the camera. "I do hope it's green, or gold even."

She saw Connor whisper to the others; something seemed up. So she continued being the loud distraction and misdirection that she was good at.

Thank you for the reminder, I've been playing a lot of fifth edition vampire lately and forgot to roll my 10, I am so sorry everyone.
I think it'd be best if we came back for the rewards later, he grabs wiki by the wrist, they have our names on we can comeback later for them, something has come up, grandma fell and she can't get up. It's a bad lie, hoping bad enough that he hopes wiki and the others pick up on it, but anyone else listening may believe it.
