Wiki gets to work on hacking Lionheart. She is using all her tecnical and magical skills to gain acces and information. There are to many questionmarks on her murderboard and she hopes to give some om them names.

One of her arcane tricks is to connect through the internet, find the admin, and with high level social profiling software (Sphere Mind) guestimate password

If Wiki would like to continue hacking, another roll will be required against a higher resistance rating.

Wiki is comsumed with the hack. She is like a relapsed alcoholic, who has gone without the buzz for all to long. Her brother will properly have some strong words about this if he learns that she havent left her room all day.

With a very intimate knowledge of her familiar, and the fact that she possessed sufficient material foci belonging to him, his hair, skin, clothes, Esther spent the next two hours in her practice of tantra, using her energies and past physical connection with Taurus to connect and recreate what he might have gone through in the last few hours.

Esther uses her Practice and Focus to heighten her connection to Taurus. She can roll Manipulation & Subterfuge again at a decreased difficulty.

Lost in her meditation, Esther continued to focus on her familiar.

Esther feels a sudden rumble in her bowels and gets up, suddenly needing to race to the bathroom. She hits a wall and her reusable metal water bottle spills Lake Mead's finest will over her yoga pants. The rumbling ceases, and she realizes that deep connection to her familiar reverberates.

That was unexpected. Important, useful, but unexpected. But then the art had always been unpredictable anyway. She steadied herself and regulated her breathing again, letting the rest of the sensations flow through her chakras as she let the wetness seep into her pores.

She was relieved that she didn't sense fear or panic in Taurus' emotions. That meant he wasn't in immediate danger. She deduced that his worry over someone meant that he may have located the rabbi and/or his golem. At least she had a lead now; it was time to head out to find him.

Damn, that new car would be handy right about now. She packed a few things, including her gun and its Matter-magicked bullets she'd prepared beforehand. She wondered about heading to the car dealership to see if she could wrangle it from them anyway.

It was time for the road trip out to Lake Mead.

The Wheel of Fortune room had material for the sponsors, so Esther would have picked up that the car was courtesy of King Chevrolet.

Esther looked up the number for the marketing department of the Chevrolet office in Las Vegas. "Hiya, could I speak to the person in charge of the New Fremont District Celebration Wheel of Fortune giveaway? Terrible tragedy, I know. I was hoping to talk to him or her to arrange for a future promotion, but things being what they are now I simply don't know." Esther intended to find out who were the actual people engaged in arranging for the sponsorship at both ends.

Shortly, Esther is talking to LaRona Jackson. "Hello, I understand that you have a question about the Wheel of Fortune giveaway? I hope I can answer your questions, but the actual giveaway is being managed by a bonded accounting firm. For legal reasons, ya understand."

"Totally. I'll get in touch with them if you can give me their contact details."

When you phone them, you get, "Holman & Associates, how may I direct your call?"

You ask for Jean Castille, and get her.

"Jean speaking." (pronounced like Gene rather than the French way.)

"Hi Jean, this is Esther Quinn. I'm trying to get hold of the organisers of the New Fremont District Celebration Wheel of Fortune, and I was directed to contact you because your firm was the one who managed the accounting for the lucky draw. Terrible tragedy, I know, but I'm looking to explore a future opportunity to organise something similar, and wanted to see if I could get you and the organisers on board." Esther explained her plan to the accountant.

Jean will explain that their firm are bonded by the Nevada State Gaming Commission and one of their roles is to supervise small venue gaming to make sure that state laws are observed. She would be happy to set up a meeting to discuss your proposal and how Holman & Associates can help make that a success.
