Question from a Rookie DM

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, if it's not then I apologize. My question is...How do you start a game? I've got players and a game so do I just advertise and send out invites? What about the threads?

If you've already got your players I'd say there's no need to advertise unless you have an empty slot that needs filling. Just send invites, and PM them a link to the game. Some DMs have all the game forums set up before the players show up, while others set up their forums later.

Every DM has their own way of doing things. In addition to this thread, I'm sure you'll find plenty of help over at the GM Mentoring Project.
