Hm... seems like you're using IE. Can I suggest a better browser, such as Firefox, Chrome or Opera? There are other choices too.
If you wanna stick with IE, or can't switch, I'll warn you right now, while most of this site should work with IE, stuff might come up buggy, so you might not enjoy it as much...

Good thing you specify which game it was in parenthesis. I was assuming it was some sort of bovine first person shooter...

MOO is a combat game. You take a race and gather planets of power to become the chosen race in control. Multiple levels of play. Changing board between games. Enjoy.

I love MOO. It's my second favorite game of all time, next to Heroes of Might and Magic 3.

MOO had one of the most compelling tech trees, gosh I miss it. If a level of the tech tree had multiple choices you could only pick one (most races). To obtain any of the other choices on that level you had to steal it or trade it from another race.
Really drove espionage and diplomacy as well as salvaging ship tech. Also meant some games never had certain tech in the universe.
For years I’ve been surprised other designers haven’t used this approach (to my limited knowledge).
Thanks for the warp down memory lane!
