OOC:
Nice! Those clarifications sound great to me... Maybe:
1. What can you tell us about Fatima's disappearance?
2. What can you tell us about her crew?
3. What did she have to do with the Pantones?
4. What do you know about the Pantones?

Anything I'm missing?
OOC:
Let him answer 1 and 2, and I think 3 will dissipate. 4 is a bit broader than the confines of the original question. So that leaves 2 more followups.
"I probably don't know much about the kidnapping than you do. Some masked thugs stormed the drive-in a few nights ago. Word is they kidnapped Fatima, leaving the rest of the Pantones leader-less. They must be trying to get her back. Or maybe you are? Uh... I call them her 'crew,' but I guess the news would call them a 'gang' or a 'vigilante group' or something?"

The stylist looks at his watch. "Look, I've got a client scheduled to come in in just a few minutes. I might be able to talk for just a bit longer. Any other questions?"
Feb 7, 2020 7:08 pm
"Ah, so the Pantones don't wear masks, huh? Enemy of our enemy, I suppose... Any word on where the masked goons came from?"
OOC:
Anyone else have any questions for him? Not that he'll necessarily know much more, but I could be wrong.

If not, sounds like the drive-in may be more of a fact-finding mission. But still worth a shot.
Feb 7, 2020 7:41 pm
"Yeah, and you happen to know who Fatima was beefin' with before she got snatched?"
Feb 7, 2020 8:33 pm
Norbonne's eyes widen. "Masks? And cover up that beautiful hair I dye for them? Hell no!" He thinks about Marv's question for a moment. "I mean... They have to defend their territory from other gangs, I guess. But Fatima just got released from prison a little while back. No idea why someone would grab her so quick like that." He give you an apologetic smile. "Please do what you can for my girl. You really shouldn't be here any longer, though; my client's bound to get here any minute now..."
Feb 7, 2020 10:39 pm
"No sweat, Narbonne. Really appreciate your time." He pulls hia card out of his pocket and holds it out pinched between his pointer and middle fingers, "I'll be back around in a couple weeks when it's time for a trim, but in the meantime if you hear anything, give me a ring. We want to help Fatima out as bad as you. Tryin' to kick the bad juju out of Rumble City, namsayin?"

Once back in the car Max will sigh, "Anyone else guess it was the same prison as Mr. Mikowski and the corrupt cop?"
Feb 8, 2020 12:22 am
"Seems like the obvious conclusion," Marv looks out the window at the storefront as Hank starts the car up, watching to see if Narbonne is tracking them. "That uniform wasn't prison CO issue was it?"
Feb 8, 2020 1:26 am
As you discuss things in the car, you notice Narbonne's client show up, a well-dressed woman, probably mid-30s, pushing a stroller with a baby in it. There's no sign anything untoward is going on with him.

"Ya know, it's a good thing this guy has the Pantones to work on most of the time. Lets him stretch out his imagination. That's two for two clients today with just your basic haircut." Hank angles the rear-view mirror to look at his own barely-tamed hair surrounding the ever-expanding baldness on his head. Maybe it's time to cut my losses. Shave this puppy for good. Or hell, maybe I'll let Norbonne have a crack at it. Give him a challenge.

"So what do we say, folks? Head out to the drive-in and see if the enemies of our enemies are indeed our friends?"

"Oddly enough depending on their ethically and morale compass we might be searching for their leader... Mr. Mikoski could have been in the same position if we hadn't come down for the press meeting or if they picked different night we were all off."

OOC:
Anything y'all want to do, or should we screen wipe to you driving up to the drive-in theater?
Feb 10, 2020 5:51 pm
"Definitely! Let's all go to the movies! Let's all go to the mooovies. Let's all go to the moovies!" Marv sings as he moves to get into Mildred.

"I don't think that's the point Max. But I could be wrong."
OOC:
We go!

As the old Caddie wheezes to life, Hank says, "Speak for yourself, Red. I've got my heart set on cheesy rom-com, a big salty pretzel, and a heart-stopping serving of Dr. Pepper."

[ +- ] Drive-in Theater Map
You grab a quick lunch and then get on the road to meet the Pantones. Based on the map print-out from the masked thugs, you easily find the Hi-Way Drive-in with your phones' built-in navigation apps. In the early afternoon, traffic isn't bad, so it only takes about fifteen minutes to get to the neighborhood. The drive-in is located on the outskirts of Bangertown, so as the Caddie cruises from block to block, the houses start to look more and more run-down. You also notice a change in the street life from the business district: There are fewer and fewer affluent-looking folks outside pushing strollers or walking dogs, and instead more and more people standing around smoking, loitering on corners, or even fighting.

But toward the outskirts, the buildings get farther and farther apart, and there's less foot traffic. The area seems like a mix between Bangertown and the Sticks to some extent. Glancing down at your navigation app, you see you're about a minute way from the drive-in.
OOC:
So, looking at the map, you can see there is a front entrance to the drive-in (through the overhang where you'd buy tickets) and then the back entrance (actually the exit). Which entrance are you planning to use?

And someone can give me a group Vigilance check versus a Hard (PPP) difficulty with a setback for being in a moving vehicle. That means one of you can roll YGG+BB versus PPP+K.

"I say we head in through the back. If a crew posts up here for real they probably try to stay hidden."

2 Success, 4 Advantage, 3 Threat

Total: 2 Success, 1 Advantage

A Marv makes his suggestion, he thinks he spots a teenager with dyed-purple hair duck behind the dumpster at a 7-11. The teen seemed like she was on a smart phone, probably texting—maybe about you.

Meanwhile, Red notices on the map that there's a bottleneck along either entrance if you stay in the car: The ticket booth, and a copse of trees that forces cars to stay on the single road upon exiting. You might be more nimble on foot, but you'd lose the protection of being in the vehicle.
OOC:
Remember to propose uses for Advantages. In this case, I had you notice an important point. Not trying to sway you, but pointing out the advantages and disadvantages of vehicular vs. on-foot approaches.

"We might want to ditch the car before we get to close, easy spot for an ambush coming up. This car probably explodes right?" Red muses as she casually scans the map, nodding in affirmation. "Course doesn't mean they know we're coming, I'd even say this car blends right into the locale."
