Logrith shook hands with the men while White Claw stood closely behind. Logrith would almost kill for a good cup of tea at this point. The bear had weathered the journey well, lying curled up in a ball once they were underway. Now he was back on guard, alert and ready.

Tea would be most welcome.Noticing the mayor eyeing the bear, he offered, And this is my bear companion, white claw.

Mara waves goodbye to Capt. Ceecee and follows the men to the town hall. She keeps her eyes out for anything suspicious about the town or anything unusual.

Plain as day, Sudamon can see someone climbing the steeple of the town Hall towards a... weather vane(?)
Mar 1, 2020 5:59 pm
Carth points out the climber to the others. "That is unusual. A local custom?"

Logrith Sees a roofing tile fall to the ground.
The mayor and his men pause at sudamon's question,"what is it"?

They look up confused... and then shocked! "oh no."
The unknown roof climber has managed to steal the "weather vane"

"We must stop the thief from getting away", the mayor shouts.
"you have mounts! go! Recover the Azure stone!"

The mayor and his men scramble to saddle their mounts in the stables next door.
The mysterious thief, reads a scroll and begins leaping up to 30ft, bounding along the roof tops heading east.
Mar 1, 2020 7:13 pm
Why in he midst of all this is the thief reading a scroll? Is it a map? Well it's slowing him down and I will give chase!

Logrith being adept at running along uneven surfaces decides to give chase, leaving an agitated White Claw swaying from side to side on the ground, trying to keep him in view and then ultimately following on foot.

Mara watches the thief bound rooftop to rooftop, then she looks at Logrith and shakes her head quickly mounting her horse. "It is a magic scroll not a map, and it is not slowing him down, speeding him up."

The desert elf urges her horse on following the rogue as makes his escape.
OOC:
Is the rogue close enough I could gust of wind them or something and knock them off the roof?

Scroll of Jump cast as a 3rd level spell. For one minute the thief can leap 30ft as often as she wants. The chase is on.
The Thief has a lead.

Estimate is 75 ft. checking the spell description...
Gust of wind

This would be a perfect opportunity to use the Reach Spell (meta-magic) feat, a 60ft line could become a 90ft line.

Looks like the thief has to make a fortitude save against your Spell DC: 10+ Cha+4 Spell prof-Tn+2 Spell level: +1 = Fort save DC 17

Roll it!

Rolls

Fortitude save - (1d20+7)

(20) + 7 = 27

The thief has jumped clear of the spell, the blast of wind not really catching her.
Mar 1, 2020 11:54 pm
Mara pursues the thief and does it again when she gets a clear shot, it’s a cantrip so I can cast this all day...

The chase continues, The thief does not leap down to the ground when she is out of roofs, nope. she's running on tree branches and leaping from tree to tree like a Squirrel.
You are all not that far behind, when a metallic crash is heard.
Mar 2, 2020 12:12 am
Logrith's pursuit stops at the trees. A monkey he is not so he climbs down and continues on the ground, with white claw grumbling not far behind.

The bear and Logrith skid to a stop when they hear the crash.

OOC:
uhm, no. gust of wind is a level 1 spell.

OOC:
Oops, my bad. I can do this a couple more times before I need a blankie and a nap.
Ignoring the crash Mara keeps following the girl, she grins leaning forward and says to her horse, "Stole the weathervane off the town hall roof and bold enough to escape on foot, you do have to admire the chutzpah."

When we get a chance we’ll take another shot at her.
Mar 2, 2020 3:33 am
GM: Not so fast, She tossed the weather vane as a distraction to allow her to opportunity to enter stealth.
If your looking for the thief, I need perception checks. If you are going to retrieve the "Weather vane" you find it.
Thrown one way as she vanishes in another. (or tries to...?)

What do you do now?
