Harburk laughs awkwardly, "Err, yes, I suppose you can play in front of the inn. Everyone should be able to hear you there". Seeing as you’re all newcomers to the town, you take the time to look around and observe the towns folk. When you catch people’s eyes most people seem to smile at you. But there are a few of the older people that seems to stare at you with sullen expressions.
OOC:
Took the liberty to roll perception for you all. Whoever decides to play music, give me performance checks

Welsh smiles and waves at the crowd, reveling in the attention. He sets up a small area, places a small pouch open on the ground, and pulls out a pan flute from a pocket on his belt. He smiles, rolls up his sleeves, and looks to Nadya before addressing the crowd.

"Now, ladies and gentlemen, I would like to play a little diddy for you I call Take On Me, which is a tale of love and adventure." He then presses his lips to the pan flute, and begins to play (like this YouTube beauty).

Nadya nod's back at Welsh. She was not used to pan pipes, but had also trained in the flute, though had not had the opportunity to bring one with her. She wasn't sure if her Viol would match up, however she knew the tune, so she may as well give it a try.

However she realised an error as she started to play, a screeching sound came out. She had forgotten to retune it after the fight, and her gripping the strings from stress had caused them to go out of tune. She cursed, immeadiatly stoping, and moveing to tune it, though wwith difficulty from the emabrassment
OOC:
Sadly it appears performance and instrument proficiency don't stack, despite bards having both.
Edit: You had one job Nadya. One.

OOC:
Beautiful
Welsh, you start to play and the crowd starts to clap, a few enthusiastic children starts to hop and dance in front of you, looking at you in wonder. Nadya, you go to join in and the screeching sound that emanates from your viol makes pretty much everyone cover their ears in unison. Your constant plucking of the strings as you tune them doesn't help. As the song finishes, you hear a few scattered claps but the enthusiasm has all but disappeared and you get the impression that it might be best to sit down again.

Welsh looks to Nadya, gives a shrug and a grin, and then bows with a flourish. "Thank you! Thank you! The heroes of Red Larch thank you so much!"
Jun 30, 2020 7:39 pm
An older, balding white human man, one of the few who seemed slightly annoyed with you, awkwardly claps and gently places a hand on your arm to guide you towards the table you were seated at, "Ah yes, well done. Please sit down and enjoy the rest of the evening".

Did we get that short rest?

OOC:
Yup, you got a short rest

Nadya grits her teeth, tempted to ignore the old man an proof it was the Viols fault not hers, but instead settles for downing her wine, and looking for a refill. Just her luck the one thing she actually could do had messed up. She avoids Welsh's eyes as she tries to drown her bad mood.

You're tipsy once again :P
After a little while, the older man comes over and sits down next to you. "My name is Dornen, Elak Dornen. I own Dornen Finestones. Thank you both for the...err...music...and I hear that you deserve a thank you for catching the bandits...well, bandit...I'm glad that you got to take part in our celebrations and I suppose you will be on your way again tomorrow?"

Nadya's favourite state.
'Eager for us to leave?' She asks, more bluntly than she intends due to the drink.
Jul 2, 2020 9:50 pm
Welsh picks up his tip bag (any tips?!) and grabs himself a tall glass of ale. He then smiles and plops down at the same table as Nadya, right before Doren shows up.

Welsh takes a huge hit of his drink, then leans in and smiles. "It's not every day you find your destiny in a little town like this. We've been tasked to help out with a few more problems around town." He stops for a moment to gauge the reaction (ie. Insight Check).

Vanri bows to the old man.

"I don't believe I have an immediate need to leave. Do you have anything that needs to be done?"

Welsh, as you guys mention that you're planning on staying, Elak looks visibly uneasy as he tries to regain his composure. "Hmm? No no, not at all, everyone are allowed to stay in our fine village as long as they stay out of trouble. I just couldn't imagine why anyone would, not like anything interesting ever happen here.", he chuckles uncomfortably and takes a large sip from his wine glass before addressing Vanri, "No my dear, everything is perfectly fine. Can't see why I'd need adventuring types. Maybe up in Mirabar put not here."

Welsh smiles. "With all these bandits around town, I’m sure a vendor of ‘fine stones’ can rest easier knowing they’re taken care of." He leans back, polishing off his drink. "I know we don’t exactly blend in around here, but as long as there is adventure to be had, and wrongs to be righted, I assure you we’ll leave your town better than we found it."
Jul 4, 2020 11:49 am
He smiles benignly at you, "I’m sure we can sleep much better with you around", with that he gets up and nods a farewell to you. You notice that Harburk’s eyes follow him coolly as he leaves.

'Asshole'Nadya mutters under her breath as she sips at her wine. 'You;d have thought someone that old would know better than to dismiss a seer and her heroes.'
Jul 6, 2020 3:49 pm
Welsh kicks back, putting his hooved feet on the table, biting down on a drumstick. "Who cares what he thinks? He's a grouchy old man. We're heroes! That's pretty cool." He stops, hooves still on the table, and looks right at Nadya. "Okay, so tell more more about our destiny together. What do you know?"
Jul 6, 2020 4:19 pm
'Not too much. The visions are vague. I saw this medusa, and then you three. He was trying to rend the earth, you were trying to sop him'
OOC:
Stop making me feel guilty duping Welsh :P.
