The Identity Project

This is your private thread. Only you and I can see entries here (I hope). Whenever your character is alone or separate from the others, post in this thread.

OOC:
Guess I'll claim this thread.
Messy long russet hair, pockmarked skin. A skinny and malnourished frame, with piercing blue eyes sunken in their sockets, and lips chapped from thirst. An urge to vomit even though there's nothing in his stomach.

He hears a ticking coming from his chest, occurring about every three seconds. Taking off my shirt, he sees that, on his chest, is a impression of a rectangular scar, as if that section of his body was cut out and put back in place.

Staring into the mirror gives no clue as to your identity, but your gaze falls upon the neatly folded pile of clothes on the chair. Searching the clothing, you find a wallet with a small card with your picture; a license for vehicle operation. The name reads "Paul Forbrush". The name does not ring any bells nor trigger memories.

Wheezing a bit, he takes the wallet and leaves the room.
Jul 6, 2020 5:34 pm
Stepping outside, the harsh sunlight stabs into your eyes, a sharp contrast from the relative darkness of the room. Looking around, you seem to be at a small roadside motel on a non-descript highway. The local area is forested and there appear to be few visitors at this motel as there are only a handful of cars in the parking lot.

OOC:
So I stepped out of a motel room and ended up outside?
Jul 6, 2020 8:20 pm
OOC:
Yep.
Jul 6, 2020 8:51 pm
He goes back in and dials the front desk.
Jul 6, 2020 11:16 pm
"Front desk, how may I assist you?"
Jul 6, 2020 11:32 pm
He scratches at his pockmarks as he talks on the phone.

"Hi, what name is this room under? I'm from Room 32."
Jul 7, 2020 2:43 am
"Ah, good morning, Mr. Forbrush. Will you be checking out today?"
Jul 13, 2020 9:08 pm
"Depends. How long have I been here?"
Jul 13, 2020 9:21 pm
"Two nights, sir," the friendly female voice responds.
Jul 14, 2020 2:08 am
He coughs violently, wrought with phlegm.

"Forget about that, where's the nearest hospital? I'm not doing so well."
Jul 16, 2020 4:15 pm
"Would you like for us to call an ambulance? The nearest hospital would be Northern Light AR Gould Hospital."
Jul 16, 2020 4:44 pm
"How far is it? If I can, I'd much rather walk."
Jul 16, 2020 5:41 pm
"If you're walking, you'd probably prefer Millinocket Regional. It's only 31 miles from here," she replies without a hint of sarcasm.
Jul 16, 2020 5:59 pm
He was getting a weird feeling about the receptionist.

"Nevermind, I'll figure something out on my own."

He hangs up and goes back outside with his possessions. He'll take a good look at the vehicles in the lot to see which one would be the easiest to borrow.

OOC:
Hmmm. I would swear that I answered this one, but I guess that I missed it. My apologies.
Your choices include a white Honda Civic, a Jeep Patriot, a red Lexus IS200t, a midnight blue Honda Accord XLS, a maroon Ford F150 pick-up, a silver Saturn Vue, and a black GMT Sierra 1500. No one looks any more inviting than another.

OOC:
I'll try and jack whichever one is the oldest model.
He picks the oldest looking one, and punches in the window, allowing him to open the door from the other side. He then hops in and tries to steal the car.

You decide to grab the Jeep and quickly hotwire the vehicle. Where are you headed? There is a road outside the motel going east and northwest (Main Street). To the east is an on-ramp to Interstate 95, going north and south.

OOC:
Did stealing the vehicle reveal any skills or aspects?
He decides to take the Main Street and get a bearing for where he is by looking at the local buildings.
Jul 27, 2020 6:41 pm
OOC:
Stealing the vehicle revealed no new info.
Driving down Main Street, you don't see much beyond the usual accouterments of a small town (church, local department store, barber, etc.). The only thing that stands out is a diner, Brenda's Restaurant.

He heads to the interstate then, driving north.
