Staring into the mirror gives no clue as to your identity, but your gaze falls upon the neatly folded pile of clothes on the chair. Searching the clothing, you find a wallet with a small card with your picture; a license for vehicle operation. The name reads "George Robertson". The name does not ring any bells nor trigger memories.

"George" seems to come to a decision once he has finished dressing. He steps to the door and opens it with a quick snap of his wrist. He scans the area before walking over the threshold. Does he get a sense of the time of day, the season of the year or his very general location (mountains, desert, seashore)?

It is morning, sometime after sunrise. You are at a roadside motel beside a nondescript stretch of highway. There are trees all around and few cars in the parking lot.

As he checks out the cars in the parking lot "George" feels in his pants pockets for keys or anything else. He remembers seeing a driver's license in his wallet but doesn't recall if there were any credit cards or any other cards.

You have no credit cards on your person, however, you do have $100 in cash. You have no keys.

Wondering how he could have gotten a motel room without a credit card "George" decides to pay a visit to the desk clerk to see if he can learn anything.

Please carry on this conversation in the Registration Office forum. When you arrive, you find a young woman with unnaturally red hair and lots of tattoos and a man about 30-430 years old with brown eyes, black hair, and a generally Asian cast speaking with the desk clerk, a smiling blond woman who seems far too cheery.
