I rarely have the ability to go to sleep before at least 2 hours from now, or, if I'm honest, 3 hours. I'm fine with sticking around. Would we want to allow for one group to hash their battle, and then the other, and then regroup tomorrow? I can't imagine how Timeless would handle running two battles at once.
OOC:
unless we need to signal for help, lol
OOC:
I’m going to have to change my mind. I need to read to the munchkins and go to bed. I was actually thinking I would run both scenarios at once over the weekend. That way both groups can see the progress in ‘real’ time. This won’t be a heart stopping fast paced thing like the other battles. I wanted y’all to do more thinking and collaborating this time round. I’ll see if I can set them up and then play as you can.

"Yes I will hide the codex and Ante, your symbol of Azul will be useful here to distinguish the gods from the fish."
"Wise suggestion, Kit. I may request you or Jacob to carry it for me, as I am not sure it will be easily accessible in my animal forms."

"Judging from the reaction the girl had to my necklace" I let the jade necklace dangle "I'd say it may also help with god divining."

You and the munchkins sleep well, oh Timeless one.

I have to work tomorrow most of the morning and into the afternoon, but will check as I can. Tomorrow evening and Sunday are fairly open.

"Well named, you are. Wiley as a fox."
She smiles slyly, "Oh I know, just wait until I start to prank..."

Ill do the footwork for both scenarios and then the most intense play will most likely happen tomorrow eve, as I see our schedules. working. Don’t think I am going to have both of these scenarios run independently of each other either lololol

The weekend is open for me, tomorrow night is virtual DND with some friends, but I'll be able to post occasionally during that when our noob selves aren't being complete dumbasses and filling thin bridges with marbles almost killing half the party.

We'll see how it all plays out. It may take a while as people post, but that's the nature of PBP.

The children of the summer's end
Gathered in the dampened grass,
We played Our songs and felt the summer sky
Resting on our hands
It was God's land.
It was ragged and naive.
It was Heaven.

Touch, we touched the very soul
Of holding each and every life.
We claimed the very source of joy ran through.
It didn't, but it seemed that way.
I kissed a lot of people that day.

Oh, to capture just one drop of all the ecstasy that swept that afternoon,
To paint that love upon a white balloon,
And fly it from the toppest top of all the tops that man has pushed beyond his
Brain.
Satori must be something just the same.

He directs you to come from the west in sunset to the Azul's Atole and anchor just outside the sand dune. You are 50' from the shore as the sea is deep all around the old volcano. From the highest crows nest, Poca relates what he sees. Azul's black corral ship floats on the surface of the hollowed out island, nearest you toward the west as shown on the image he projects on the ship's deck. The blue lake is deep and many predators swim in it. On board, fishmen work and sleep in almost all corners of the ship, as there are crannies and crevices just like a reef. Sharp edges would cut, but the corral seems to be covered in a gelatinous goo that makes the surfaces smooth enough to walk upon. There is a ruby covered door onto the rear cabin behind the midmast. Above the cabin, similarly to the Skulker, is a deck is the ugliest First Mate, a glistening shell of a tall man, who reflects the light of the sunset and shines orange and pink.

After Captain Kitsune hides the real imprint of the codex somewhere below decks, she looks to the boys she is leaving to protect her ship with a fake version of the codex imprint. And then she looks back to the Druid and Bard. How do we want to proceed? We have two long canoes and a ship.

goes into the cabin. You hears a bit of tearing of wood and sawing, then silence interrupted by metal clanging and a few choice, non-paladin words. He comes out of the cabin to face you all in gleaming new plate mail, his sword still in its scabbard and a shield strapped to his arm. On the shield is painted in rich browns and reds and blacks, the image of a fox and the glyph of Kiltzi.

As Chala hows you the plan of the ship, he points at the cabin at the bottom. The ship carries with it a floating parasite ship suspended 80 feet in the air and held down to the main ship by three lines. The ballistas are mighty. The gunwales are full of globules like appear as eyeballs of water in which sleep fishmen. Wings and fin protrude along the sides and along a tall spine overhead that holds what look like bubbles though they also look extremely durable.

Does anyone have any magic, or shape changing that could allow us to get from here to the ship? If not, we will be bound to try to approach using one of the canoes. If the Druid can't shift to something strong enough to carry us both over, perhaps she can be small enough to allow us all in a canoe, one would have more stealth than two, and would allow one to hold it close to ship while the other climbs and lowers a rope, which I happen to have.

"Hmmm... that secondary ship gives me an idea. If I recall correctly, someone suggested that a distraction might help you get away with your stealthy incursion. I have a fine minion I can summon, who also happens to be able to breath fire. I wonder if we could find a way to time your attempted robbery such that I could summon Maggie, and send her to do battle upon the secondary, floating ship, drawing attention away. Perhaps something up there might even catch fire. What's more, she has a strong natural talent for stealth, so she should be able to get from here to there without being noticed, assuming she flies in low. And... I could instruct her to follow directions from one of you, after she has set fire to as many things as she can upon the floating craft. She can oft hear my thoughts, though I do like to speak them. I'm sure I can set her to listen to one of you, while she is on loan. Just know that she can only remain around for 10 minutes from when I summon her. Oh, and she has a tendency to explode if she dies before that time."
