Liie the others, Tēcuani is still hurting from the fight but a Jaguar Knight doesn't complain. His white fur matted with blood and with a slight limp, the tabaxi moves around the room and uses his old mācahuitl to poke at whatever remains the mummy left, particularly the Prince's. Sifting through the binding cloths for any clue.
Tēcuani prowls the remains of the mummies, shifting his weapon in the charred remains. Looking particularly at the Prince’s remnants, his weapon strikes something hard. With a bat, a hardened heart rolls out, practically crystallized and glowing with a strange blue light.

Kit thinks for a moment as she watches Tēcuani poke and prod at the corpse. "I’m unsure of how well it could work, but if you all stay close to me, we can run through that room. I can shoot out my frightening presence and give us a few seconds to get through the room and pull the portal off the wall on our way out. In theory, that should trap the creatures in that statue room."
The Paladin continues to hold his goddess, hoping to make her feel better and strokes her hair. He cannot lay on hands any more for divine healing but desperately wants her to at least feel better. He ponders her strategy. "Its bold and relies on undead being frightened which I don’t think they are. I can see doing the run with alacrity, but getting the whole party through a 30 queztal hole will be slow especially since Great Kon needs a boost and Gentle Goliath here needs lubricant. As I figure from a battlefield management perspective, there were at least six in the room by the blue light of the braziers when we saw them start in. After we used the blue crystal to close the door, at minimum there are twice that and probably more. We need to weigh that risk. We handled three with help when they were running away. This is an entirely different challenge. The part of your plan that I like the best, Kitty, is the idea that we need some plan besides brawn. By the way, magic users, how do we plan on opening the door from the crypt to the foyer if the blue crystal only closes it?"

OOC:
That's funny. Kon was gonna mention searching the mummies but thought it a waste of time. Good job Puss-n-boots.

I wake from my short nap, track down my tap and take a long drink before putting it away.

"Okay gang, what are we doing next?"

The heart rolls evasively away from the Knight's obsidian studded blade. It's blue glow increases from some strange energy, building up to an intensity that almost blinds.
OOC:
Make an attack roll.

"Watch out T! I hate magic! There is no use for this evil magic in my book."

Tēcuani stills his mācahuitl when the heart rolls away.

"Stand clear!" the tabaxi growls. "I suspect the heart's destruction will cause an explosion or some such treachery."

Quickly moving a good distance away and making sure the others di the same, the Jaguar Knight summons hishna magic and flings shards of obsidian at the glowing heart.

The explosion that happens when the obsidian shards strike unerringly the glowing blue heart cause the room to rock and dust fall from the ceiling, but because of the Knight's precautions , no one is injured.

Ears ringing from the blast, Xoch' nods to Tec, Well done. Shall we collect the shaman and the gold from the other room? Perhaps the strange magic from these hearts had an effect on the locked door. I suggest we have our wits about us in case those things have made their way inside.

The mystery of this wand is worth exploring and may lead to a way out. This seems as likely a place to try it as any.

"Ah love. Your magic is divine." He gives Kitty his puppy eyed look.

The wand points to the base of the coffin, specifically the dais under the coffin..

"Two questions," I say, to the room at large, "Do you think the beasts out there ceased to unlive when the curse ended? And... don't we need to take the canoe with us?"

Looking at the canoe, I begin to wonder if we could flip it over and walk out through the beasts underneath it, using it as a sort of protective barrier. But fear that I may be mocked by my companions for suggesting it.

"Huatzi told us that the hairy beasts were from the desert and that there was something leading them up and organizing them to take villages such as this. I suspect she meant something like the Mummy King here. Since they were a problem in the House of Tezca before the Silver Order breached the tomb, I suspect that the undead creatures are not under the mummy's curse and are unaffected by the mummies' deaths. "We might need that canoe. I could try casting a protective circle around us. As long as I can maintain my concentration and move it as necessary, it could prevent the unliving from entering it. We could try using that until I can’t anymore. I don’t think we want to risk destroying the canoe until we have to."

It seems the wand has found another focus... under this coffin Xoch’ approaches and inspects the area indicated by the wand.

As Xoch' examines and touches the dais in places, the stone and coffin rotate aside revealing a circular chute that leads down into darkness. The aperture is 10 feet in diameter and the pipe's incline is more vertical than horizontal.

Caine sees the passage and feels her excitement falter. "This might be an exit... my toy is still with those savage beasts..." She casts sad glances at the direction of the other room before stalking to the passage and looking for signs of traps inside it.

"It might be an exit... or a trap. Don't give up on your prize. We would like you to have it. If we do go this dark hole of death way, it might be easier to send someone for the portal hole in the foyer easier than getting the whole party there. All we have to do is figure it out."
