I chop off his toes on his left foot.

Kit pissed off suddenly by it lets go of Duke, walks up, and punches the thug in the face. "Try me bitch, start talking or I'll blast your cajones off so fast... where. Is. Your. Hideout."

The thugs laughs again at Kitsune's intimidation, but then screams bloody murder as Kon chops off the end of his boot and his left toes fly out across the crowd with the bounce of the axe on the pavement. "Stones! Owwwww! Stop the damn bleeding won't ya! I'll tell you where they are hidden." Duke stabs the thug's foot with his sword, pinning him to the ground and allowing his healing to pass through the radiant energy of his sword, cauterizing Kon's amputation, but causing more pain. "Now you are pinned to the very ground where you murdered all these people. The green folk here has invited these other people to have their way with you starting with this Pirate Lady's revenge on your disrespect, or I can give you over to the merciful death by the Eagle Knight's justice. Which will it be?"

The Thug shutters and says, "I said... I'll... tell you. You let ... the bird kill me. We are Viperhand. Our cell leader holds up in the sewers... of West Circle, under the old waterworks ... where the hot springs flow through a corner of the city from the volcano into the lake below."

"Well now, he seems like a quite reasonable fellow after all."

Kit places her hand on Duke’s. Despite her own rage at the thug, she still tries to calm him. Addressing the thug again, she asks, "How big is your cell? What do we need to know walking into it? Is that vampire lady a friend of your cell’s?"

"Sewers, why is it always in the sewers. "

I feel Kitty's hand and relax. I let her do the questioning, but I look around and see what the fireballs did to the people and their community. Stormslayer's gesture of returning the loot that some of the thugs had taken was admirable, but we need to do more. Maybe Kitty is trying to rid the city of all the thugs? IS that even possible? The survivors try to piece things together and pull away the bodies so that they do not fester in the streets. Death seems normal to them. They go about their day again in route measure. This city is strife with turmoil and the refugees make the most of it. This is not living, I think.

Kit thinks for a moment... "We need to go to the sewers, probably after a rest. There's some things to buy first though before we go..." She looks at the Eagle Knight, "Is there a jail? This one has been useful and deserves a second chance. If he's wise enough to take said chance that is and if it can be provided."

She looks to the rest of the group, "Anyone else got any questions? My love, remove your sword and heal that please for me."

"Sounds like a lot of trouble in the sewers. Rest sounds nice. Perhaps shop for some nose plugs."

I dutifully obey my goddess. She is full of fire, brimstone, and mercy. I pull my sword out and finish healing the thug. "But dear, here is Maztica there are no prisons or jails. The eagle knight will deal out the only justice in this land."

"Perhaps if things end up going our way for our collective quests, we can add building jails and rehabilitation centers."

"There are no jails here?!" Kit looks between the Knight and Duke, "So what will happen to this one?"

I look around the square at the faces to see if we are being looked at as saviors or as the bigger monsters who dispatched the smaller ones.
