5 more points and I'm dead, but I still want to cast my dagger spell in the spiders throat to save my friends.
OOC:
I count 46 point damage and less than that of hp on your sheet. dod I have something wrong?
OOC:
Wow, killed me off. Well, it's been fun. I didn't realize it would end so abrupt, and I had waited all day to do my clever trick with the daggers. Life sucks, then I die. Bye all.

OOC:
Well it's about time that someone else does the "lying down in the middle of battle trick." Storm was letting it go to his head that he was the only one trying that one out.

Also, those sneak attacks suck. Sorry man.

for your turn, instead of that wonderful spell, please make a death save... a straight d20.
OOC:
I thought it was "Roll a d20 5 times, and hope you don't get three under 10 in a row, but if you roll a 20, you get one health back."

OOC:
Yes, Jacob. This isn't 1e. In 5e, you are only unconscious unless you took a great deal more damage than you have done. Roll a d20 once and surely someone will stabilize you or even heal you before you get three fails.

Round SIX Action
Moving to a more stable position on the giant spider's thorax, I kneel down and hold my black blade out in a reverse grip again, thrusting it down into the spider's back with all my strength and weight, finally piercing through the tough chitin shell. I twist the blade as I draw it out, cracking the carapace even further. Then I draw out my dagger, and punch directly at the hole with the dagger in my fist. The punch lands strong enough to break through the hole deep in the spiders flesh. I twist the blade of my dagger to the side, and pull my arm out, leaving the dagger behind.

"Quick, Maggie! Heat the metal of that dagger as much as you can!"
OOC:
hope that's creative enough to be accepted.

You pass your first save. Only two more to go and you stabilize. Then Teth cast healing energy into you and you awake to her touch. You are laying prone on the ground but feel 9 points better. Even that is enough for you to act on your next turn.

"Aye One! Hot enough to melt spider goo!" She contorts her face and the spider beings to dance it’s eight legs and claw at its wound. Storm, please make a DEX save to prevent being pummeled off by accident.

The spider is bloodied.

Attempting to hold on for dear life.
OOC:
perhaps I should have narrated leaping off the spider... Also, how the neck is a spider clawing at it's own back? I don't think the legs bend like that...
OOC:

Rolls

DEX SAVE - (1d20+4)

(7) + 4 = 11

Oct 14, 2020 12:42 am
Hearing what Maggie is doing to impose disadvantage on Spider’s next attack and taking advantage myself on Storm’s move, I slash twice at the spider in melee giving it all the divine smite I can, and while remaining in melee with the spider, I run to the Hag putting myself between the Hag and Kitty. Using my shield feat I pummel the Hag with my shield in an attempt to know her prone.

Both blows strike through the hard shell of the spider, but the rat of enfeeblement is still affecting me. I only cause half my strength damage, but the power of my oath to Kiltzi is strong and the smite brings pain to the spider.

As I dance around the spider I also know the Hag onto her ass and she slides another five feet away.

I r t ale a breath and try to shake this spell on me, and I succeed! I let out a Payit Cry!

Rolls

Lit sword attack - (1D20+8, 1d20+8, 1d20+8, 1d20+8)

1D20+8 : (12) + 8 = 20

1d20+8 : (8) + 8 = 16

1d20+8 : (15) + 8 = 23

Sword damage - (1D20+4, 1d20+4)

1D20+4 : (3) + 4 = 7

1d20+4 : (14) + 4 = 18

Divine smite - (3d8, 3d8)

3d8 : (222) = 6

3d8 : (448) = 16

Shield push bonus action - (1D20+4)

(20) + 4 = 24

CON save against the spell - (1D20+1)

(13) + 1 = 14

I didn't miss it, but was asked to roll, so I rolled. Many thanks to Teth. That was very sweet, and very dangerous with bloody knife welding thugs over my devastated body.

They are in melee with you and Teth. You look at them from the ground and realize that they do not act of their own accord or otherwise they would have remained panicked and trying to escape. Instead they bear down on you together so they can achieve that powerful sneak attack damage by working together.

Though Storm seems surprised that the spider would flail as such and is perhaps right that it could not actually touch its back, the movement and confusion was too much for him and he falls off the back for a bit of fall damage.

Rolls

Fall damage - (2d6)

(25) = 7
