More rowing later and their oars were swirling in the multicolor hues, paint dripping from the tips of the uplifted oars, the sky and earth turned upside down with light and color. They could hear whistles and rings in the stalactites. Ahead is an island in faire rainbows and dark leaves.
Dukalu puts his hand on her wrist. They stop their paring and strike straight through whirlwinds of azure and pink, yellow and chartreuse. When I pledged my oath to your darling, this afternoon, something happened. Something marvelous. More miraculous than even this picturesque scene before us that steals our breath. I still feel the love you gave me seeing me with clean shaven chin and short hair. I feel still the power and majesty of your presence in my mind’s eye. It must true. She can’t explain why, but she jumps out of the boat and follows the trail, using her magic words to tell Poca they’re going on land. Duke catches up to her and tries to get in front of her asking what she’s doing, but she stops him and says, "I can’t explain it, but I feel things are working out as they should."
