You pull up close to the ship. "Where is the ship? Are we close? Can you help me touch it?" You realize how used you were of your own abilities and have not appreciated the fact that Duke was out here in total blackness. How could he be so brave? Did he not have fear, or was it that he could ignored the fear? You help him touch the hull of the ship.
He whispers, "I can sense her. Nobody else. She's more evil than I have ever known her to be. She's on the bridge at the stern. Kit, my light will only last 1 minute, or ten rounds of combat. If we don't use the oil lamp, you will have to lead me up and in. Can you see?"
She then finally says, "The green folk refused to give us the codex and kicked us out of their village. We came back to get reinforcements to take with us this time, but I see they're a bit... uhhh... tied up at the moment." Knowing that Dukalu can't see, she picked her words specifically to clue him into what is happening.
