Kar'i'nas, the building is dark and old, but it's hard to say whether it's unoccupied or not.

It's hard to say why the boy is crying. But you can see that the girl seems more composed and is actively trying to calm him down.

Skallagrim, equips his bow, and chooses a spot where he can keep a keen eye on as many doors and windows as possible.

The girl shushes the boy again and turns to you with a worried look, "There's a monster inside and we don't know where our parents are, so we don't know what to do".

The girl looks startled at Skip's insistent tone, "I-I-I don't know, sir! We haven't seen it, we've just heard it's terrible howls and we know that our parents locked it in the basement, but now we can't find our parents and I'm afraid the monster has taken them".

To Kar’i’nas and Morticia, he replies "basements are below ground. We know it’s locked there. Narrows down the problems. Don’t matter why and wherefore for the moment, if it’s behind a locked door, and it don’t act friendly, we kill it"
