Chapter 1: Into The Mists

You all climb the red marble staircase to its full height and come to a dusty balcony with a suit of black plate armor standing against one wall, draped in cobwebs.

Oil lamps are mounted on the oak-paneled walls, which are carved with woodland scenes of trees, falling leaves, and tiny critters.

There are four doors in total. Two in the north-western corner and two in the north-eastern.

Skallagrim moves to the small hallway, where he can see all three doors at the same time

As you start to approach the armour, it jerks awake and lifts its heavy plated arms to strike Kar'i'nas.

Skallagrimm thinks these four can handle a tin can. His axe is ready, but he keeps his eyes on the doors, just in case.

Skip, you fire a bolt that punctures through its midsection. Balian and Kar'i'nas, you both open up gashes in the armour as well, the metal seemingly being more brittle after many, many years of neglect.

The armour barely holds it together, but it does enough to swing both fists at the gith.

Kar'i'nas, you duck one fist but double over as the second one hammers into your ribcage.

Lunora, you take a swing at it as well but your sword glances off its shoulder as it turns back.

Skallagrim looms over the crumpled Gith, and chops straight down toward the armoured helm,

Skallagrimm, you cleave the helmet in two and the rest of the armour clatters to the ground as whatever energy was animating it vanishes.

Skallagrim hands a piece of the helmet to the Gith "here's another hat for ya, dandy" he says, as he moves back toward the doors.
