My eyes go wide and my eyebrows shoot up at the mention of my belly. I place a hand over it as I sigh. "Honestly, with the news, I'd completely forgotten that I'm pregnant again!" With the guilt of what feels like forgetting my own child combined with the day, I finally break. Placing my head in my hands, I lean over and sob hard. The fear, uncertainty, and guilt taking the place of what was my desolate emotional state. "I'm so scared! What if something happens to her? I could never live with myself if something did! Ana’s just a child, why does this have to happen to her?! She has to be okay, we have to fix this!" You come over and hold me, comforting me until I finally calm down. You remind me that our love can get us through this, and I take solace in that, returning the sentiment that I couldn't do this without you either. Our embrace of comfort turns into a moment of shared love as we kiss. The sweet exchange turns to passion as our need for comfort extends to desire. It's not uncommon for us to find happiness in hard times not only with each other mentally and emotionally, but very much physically again. We lay back on the bed in our embrace, hands now exploring each other, and I let you take the lead.

The next morning, we wake up and make breakfast together, a last family activity before the adventure began. We made sure to make it as fun as possible: letting Ana pour pancakes, cutting fruit in fun shapes, cooking bacon and eggs as well, and plating it all to look like a silly face. We enjoy eating together before finally grabbing our packs and leaving home. With Ana holding both of our hands, we walk to the port fortunately living right by it. It's bright with the early morning sun and the markets and shops around us are slowly beginning to bustle with townsfolk. We arrive and greet Poca and the crew enthusiastically. Naturally, Poca makes sure we don't have any lice before allowing us to board, stopping me to tell me that my packages were already in the Captain's Quarters for me. As soon as we're on board, it's not long before we've set sail for the inner sea. It's been months since we've been out of port between patrols for the increased raids and homemaking, but we fall quickly back into our roles. Within moments, we've gotten the crew organized and we're calmly sailing to our destination.
I tell Poca to watch over the crew and that we'd be back after settling into the Quarters and having a quick discussion. He tells us he'll knock if we're needed, and picking Ana up and grabbing your hand, I take you both into our room. Our Quarters has our bed, sized to perfectly fit all three of us comfortably, along with an actual small table to eat and drink at, a desk for us to work at, and an area in the corner opposite the bed that's been set up with a few toys and games to entertain our children. We set our packs down by the door and I set Ana down on the bed. As soon as I do, you spin me around into your arms and passionately kiss me before saying, "Welcome aboard Captain," which I return with, "Thank you Captain." We smile and giggle at each other before I step out of your grasp to get two of the three packages on the table. I gesture for you to come see as I take them to Ana and place them beside her on the bed. "Okay Lady Ana, these are for you. Now, what we didn't explain well yesterday was that this is going to be your first ever adventure, just like the stories that Daddy and I tell you at bedtime. Adventures are a lot of fun, but they're also dangerous, so you're going to need your own tools just in case. Remember, these are not toys, they're your own tools so you have to take very careful care of them, understood?" Ana enthusiastically nods and then opens the packages. She opens it to find a small, dark brown leather armor set that appeared to be the perfect size for her and a shortsword that had obviously been made for someone of a short race due to its own shortened state. Upon seeing them Ana's eyes glow excitedly as she cheers. After letting her get some of her excitement out and expressing thanks for them, we help her don her new armor, which she immediately starts strutting around the room proudly wearing, which we both laugh and smile at. Wanting to go show it off to Poca and the crew, I warn her first that the sword stays in the Quarters until she learns how to use it and remind her the rules of the ship before sending her off to enjoy herself.
I turn to you and say, "Both were reasonably priced purchases. The sword was fortunately never picked up by the goblin that ordered it and the weaponsmith wanted it gone, plus the leatherworker was more than excited to make Ana an outfit despite the extreme time crunch. I promised both of them a Cobbler's Pie when we do return. What do you think? Do you like them? I think they'll make for useful gifts in case she needs the extra protection... Oh! The last package is for us. Well, all of us truly. Would you like to see?"
Now show me. What gift do you have for us," I ask, pulling you by the hips to me.
Our dimension seems to be a bit bigger than you remember, but still decorated the same way. A long, white curtain like the ones that adorn the ceiling spans the left side of our tent, hiding where our bed and the infinite tub is. You walk the length of the curtain, mesmerized by its appearance here. At the opposite end, you notice something new. I tiny kitchenette just big enough to make simple meals on. To the right, you notice our table and the fireplace exactly as it was, with a smaller curtained off area to the right of it. Excitedly, I rush over to you, practically bouncing as I walk. "You see, he said there wasn't enough time to turn our dimension into a mansion, but he was able to make it a bit bigger fortunately. I had him add the kitchen area for times when we, or mostly Ana, needs a break from rations. It should be stocked with bare essentials so we'd have to hunt for any meats. Come come!"
I grab your hand and take you to the smaller curtained area and pull the curtain open. Instantly, you see a small area with a few toys and a small bed with multiple stuffed animals on it. "I had this put in for Ana so she has her own space and bed when she's not sleeping with us. Much like her mother, I had to make sure she had all the stuffed animals she loves so much! She can drag the toys around as she pleases, they'll reappear there every time we reopen the portal." You take a look at it, examining everything before I take your hand and lead you to the big curtain, opening it and stepping through it, but holding it open while I speak. "Okay, this is the only real change as our bed and tub are still there, nothing new... but! This curtain is magical, as you can see, I can ste-" I am cut off as I close the curtain together. The area becomes silent until I open the curtain again. "-you can't hear anything if the curtains are pulled together. Now this is what was the biggest challenge because it's one-way magic, like the entrance. I can hear outside of the curtain in the main area despite the curtains being pulled, but the main area can't hear anything in our room. I wanted to make sure that we could enjoy ourselves without traumatizing our child when she's not in bed with us."
Excitedly, I bounce back over to you and give you a kiss. I look up expectantly as I ask, "What do you think love?"
The ease of being at sea continues for two more days. By the late morning of day four, Ana is getting the hang of moving her sword around and you're just finally getting her to let you take a break from teaching her an hour after you'd tried to pause the lessons. You come up to kiss me and offer to take the wheel, but I deny and send you off since I'm enjoying it. We've already made the turn much earlier in the day to go from the Western Sea to the Inner Sea and are now sailing through a river that's just big enough to comfortably fit us. Just as you're leaving, we feel the boat struggle and everyone is thrown off balance as the bow slightly dips forward. As the ship settles, we sail slowly to a stop. I look at you with a cross of confusion and concern on my face.

Poca responds, "I try, winds won't move it. Best idea is use sword to cut boat free. Sword's already lit Capt'n."
The two blasts send some of the seaweed through the water and off of the boat, but not much. In the release of the seaweed though, you think you see movement, but it's hard to tell without a lot of the seaweed out of the way.
