The interior burst into chaos. The mage and family both turned to see us entering as the "son" growled and attacked at his cage. The brute guarding the front door soon burst in himself. The mage met Kitty's eyes and nodded before walking closer to you both. The brute wasn't having any of this and charged at you. In his reckless rage, he swung his greataxe at you, slicing into your arm on one of his swings.

The cursed child bites your hand before crying out as the curse fades and he steadily transforms back into the small child he is, promptly crying out for his mother once he does.

I am more than bloodied. The barbarian's critical hit by his two handed axe has nearly taken my life. I fall to my knee, but I cannot give up. Just behind me is my bleeding wife. I must save her before I expire. Taking my radiant sword, I pray for a thunderous smite and swing it upwards into the advancing hulk of a man. I smite him twice and the force of the thunder smite pushes him back. I am spent. My prayers are finished. I bleed and cannot take another blow. "I'm sorry love. Can you finish him?"
OOC:

I rush over to you and drop to my knees in front of you. I place my forehead against yours as I sweep your hand up, locking fingers with you. "There is no need my love, you slayed him on the spot. Kiltzi, heal thyself and thy Knight." The connection of our double tilonis and the love of all of our souls spreads through us, rejuvenating us and closing the wounds we accumulated. Once the health returns to us, I place your hand over stomach and kiss you sweetly before whispering, "Thank you for protecting us."
Feb 7, 2021 12:15 pm
Unbeknownst to us, as we were healing and I was embracing you, the mage came in and ran to collect his son from the cage and embrace his own family. He turns to us after finally relaxing and says, "For what it is worth, I would never have harmed you or your child. Thank you for saving my family. Loliath has a vendetta against you both and while I'm unsure of what, I do know that she has a plan of revenge against you both. I'm unaware exactly where her plans with the girl fall into that, but i would be cautious from here on out."
