Kalu and Sune

As you catch your breath and say these words to me, I smile and tell you, "My precious new love. This is not love. This is intimacy for sure, but this is me caring what you feel and helping you be the woman you are. I will show you real love tomorrow, my Sune. Do you really want to know? It will mean you will want it more than you have wanted anything else in your life, as I want you. I will tell you now that I love you, but do not say it back. I want you to remember my kiss above all else and we shall talk tomorrow." I kiss you again before you can protest. Again you try to disrobe me like I assume you have been trained, but I want to concentrate on my kiss. I know you feel my cock enraged and eager in my pants. I press it against you through our clothes so you know my body wants you too. After necking for a long while, I slip my hand under your blouse and pull out that injured globe you mentioned. I give it a full mouth kiss and tickle the nipple hard with my tongue. I then replace the blouse over it and kiss you once again. I place my finger on your lips and tell you, "I love you Sune." Still fully dressed, I jump up and leave the room, but not after lookjng back to see your beautiful eyes and let my eyes say goodbye. I leave the inn before you can bring yourself to ride from your bed.
A bit disappointed that you didn’t see Kalu again that evening, you did received a note mysteriously left on a table you were bussing. You see no one who could have left the message. It was fancy. One pretty paper with fine writing. It read "My love, be at Hanoch’s Dress Shop, tomorrow 7pm. Kalu." You could shift some chores around and be there, you think. You immediately start wondering about the location. Maybe they had a private room in back for you and Kalu.
Going up to your room, you immediately notice the panties were gone from the floor and the window cracked open You rush to see if there were an intruder, and perceiving none, you look longingly at the alley for him. You close the casement and lock it, turn around and see the other change. There is a white lily and red rose laid on your pillow. Checking for traps, you see nothing but a simple gesture. It smells sweet and delightful. You fall asleep with an unfamiliar anxiety in your tummy. This one was not for worrying. This one was not for fear. It grew upset only when smelled the lily and rose or reread the letter for the twentieth time.
In the morning, you had to make chore trades so that you could take off work that evening. You didn’t get very good deals at such late hour, but you never thought twice at the price. By breakfast, you were starved. The cook prepared your porridge but the handmaiden that normally served it with a dour look, was this morning overwhelmed with a secret. She smiled and giggled and looked sideways at you. When you glared at her for such cheerfulness at such an ungodly hour, she merely laughed and said, "I couldn’t help myself. I read it." She drops your tray of food in front of you and skips away. You think her strange today, but your breakfast comes with a small scroll tied and then retied with a red ribbon. Inside were sweet lyrical words set to rhyme. They made your heart fill with emotions that were long lost. Again you see my name at the bottom.
By mid day, the streets were crowded. You head to the market and find what you need for the cook quickly and try to return for more chores. A bard stands in your way, playing and singing a popular romantic ballet from a play in town, something about Juliet and her Romeo. You dislike such romances as they turn a key inside you that you do not like. This bard would not get out of your way and refused even coin to persuade him away. You stop. The second verse he sings about Sune and her Kalu. Struck and transfixed, you listen to the rest of the song and the bard bows his head and moves on without asking for a tip.
Back at the Inn, the early crowd was mulling around. You drop off the groceries, stole the fire and go prepare a luxury, a hot bath, to relax after this day. Thoughts keep coming back to Kalu. His name was everywhere. Taking all the time you can manage before the water cools, you then wrap yourself in a towel and go back to your room to dress for the evening. You had only one thing on your mind. The smell of lilies and roses fill the room. What to wear do you think?
Making my way to the dress shop, I wonder the whole way why I need to meet you there. Are you wanting to buy me something? Is it just a meeting location that you're aware of in town? I figure that it must be the latter as I can't imagine someone buying me something nice, especially without wanting something in return. I realize the closer I get to the shop, the more I start to get nervous jitters. I've never been quite like this before meeting with someone. Once I finally arrive, I enter the shop.
You didn't even notice that I was in the room now, admiring you. I am wearing a starched white shirt with a beaded tie and white feathers in my hair. Though I have the look of a noble savage from the deep wilds of Maztica, I am in formal attire complete with silver cuff links that match your shoes and seed pearls. "Sune, I hope you like it? I know its only an illusion, but it will last the night. I had to pull quite a few strings to have this artist help with it. Sune, will you go on a date with me?"

I open the door for you and take you out into the evening. You don’t ask where we are going and only follow my lead. After only a few turns in the city, we come to the guarded temple of Helm that you had scoped out earlier. There were many guards in the street and carriages were arriving with honored guests being escorted from their carriage to the golden doors up alabaster steps. I lead you up the steps past the guards and your grip on me tightens. I place my hand in yours gripping my arm. "It’s all right Sune. You are beautiful lady on my arm. We are going to a ball. The priest are displaying a fabulous new collection of artifacts that have arrived from the Temple of Qotal in honor of our long relationship between Aum and Maztica. Come my love. Let us enjoy ourselves. Even though the priests pushed many girls in me to escort me tonight, I refused all. I wanted to be with you Sune. Come."
Inside the temple, food was piled high and the gowns of the ladies were extravagant. The men were decked out in decorated uniforms and regal outfits. There were only courtier rapiers in show. The guards were the imposing contrast of halberd statutes. You surveyed the scene. The buffet, the dance floor, the smoking parlor of gentlemen, the divans of the ladies, the glass display curios, the grand stair to the upper floors, and the balcony that overlooks the city. You also notice the kitchen buzzing with activity, the minstrels in the balcony, and the serving girls, but you suspect these guests would never see this chaste of character.
A porter takes you coat. I hand the master of ceremonies my card and he reads it as we walk into the party, Dukalu, Eagle Warrior from Payit and his girlfriend, the Lady Sune of Aum. Eyes all go to you, approvingly, and then politely look away, all but mine. I am enraptured. I take you down the steps into the main foyer. "How shall I delight you first?"
Your question spins so many cogs, I don't even know where to begin! Though my eyes linger on the dance floor for a bit longer than anywhere else, I respond, "I shall let you lead the way fair Eagle Warrior. Please, show me your world. Where do you suggest we begin?"
After many fast dances, they begin a slow dance, and I hold you close and whisper in your ear, "I could hold you like this all night, maybe forever." You giggle more and tell me you don't like slow dances. I smile and take you by the buffet table to grab some champagne and we walk out into the hot summer air to enjoy the breeze on the balcony, the nighttime city harbor spread wide before us.
I toast to us and you giggle some more. We drink and smile. You catch me looking at your lips and so your lips part. I move closer to kiss you passionately. I open my eyes again and pull back, even though I feel you wanting more. I set our glasses down and hold your cheeks as you look lost, like you don't really know what to do in a non physical relationship. I look you in the eyes, and tell you again, "I have thought of nothing but you for these days. Every word from my lips has been about you, every verse was inspired by you. I set our names to music and flowers' scent. Have you not heard our names all day long as two song birds in a dance with each other. I see the wistfulness in your eyes and my heart aches for you. I feel the pain of your abuse and the joy of your wonder in my chest. The first time I saw your bruise, my troubles seemed like nothing more than stretched thin numbness. What you were feeling was terrifyingly sad. It touched me as if you had reached into my chest and plucked my heart strings. I invited you into my heart then and there, to fill me with the passion of sharing those woes, of believing in the other, of healing our woes together against all odds. Sune, I am connected to you and I want to feel your every emotion. Do you not feel that same electricity? If I were to walk ten feet from you now, my heart would break. It would demand that I come back to you. I cannot breath without you. Tell me Sune, is this love?"
I drag you aside where there are no others nearby. I give you a kiss, full of both passion and pain. I finally pull back and look at you with anxiety ridden eyes. This has been the most amazing night of my life, I've met the most interesting and yet sweet man, and I'm about to throw it all away. "Please know before I say this that this has been the most dream worthy night of my life, and I thank you for that!.... You were Farthus's mark. That's why I initially flirted with you. I never planned to start feeling something..." I take a deep breath as I see the confusion and hurt in your eyes, nearly crying to see it. Why was he causing this feeling?! "Farthus wanted to get me in here, I'm not sure what was supposed to happen after that, he never shares his whole plan. He wants to steal the artifacts that are being displayed this evening. I don't know when, or how, or what I'm supposed to do in this plan, just that he wanted you to get me in here. I'm so, very sorry! I..." I lose my ability to say anything as tears quietly fall from my eyes, and I wait for the inevitable backlash. As I'm accustomed to, I do my best to steel myself for the slap across my face that will segway into more, cringing ever so slightly in the process.
Despite your kiss taking the breath out of me too, I quietly agree. "Okay. For tonight... okay."
After many dances I take your hand and lead you back to the door where I might cease treading in my emotions and breathe air, but I cannot. There is my host, the High Priest of Helm. He has been waiting for me it seems. He looks upon my beautiful date and I enjoy the thrill of you on my arm. I stop before him and bow, "My lord, may I introduce my girlfriend, the Lady Sune of Aum. Sune, this Brother Arnold, High Priest and my gracious host." You bow and he smiles and speaks before you can, "A pleasure to see our guest the Lord Dukalu so happy. He came to us so forelorn and tired from his travels. I suspected he missed his home but I see now that he was only looking for the light that you seem to have in abundance. Please, let us talk in a quieter place." He lead us to the exhibition halls and plays tour guide. The artifacts are displayed, floating in magical fields above slabs of granite. No hands can cross the shimmering light cast by these slabs. You cannot help but notice the stone statues depicting paladins with great swords or others with long swords and large shields in niches in the room. You know to watch for security systems and notice a crystal mounted in the ceiling inside a shaft that lets in moonlight from above. A skylight seems such a weak point of the perimeter but it is obviously well protected with magic.
Brother Arnold tells you stories of various artifacts that come from Maztica include one that catches your eye, a beautiful broach made from feathers and silver wire. He notices your interest and waves a hand in a complicated manner and then reaches to take the broach and show it to you. I panic for an instant that he would try to pin in on your illusionary dress, but he seems to know better and only holds it out for you to see up close. He tells you, "this is the Broach of the Three Firebirds, pets of the Goddess Kiltzi Are you familiar with her? The pets symbolize the three form of love. It will wrap the wearer with the aura of the goddess. Some say it grants the wearer the protection of the three firebirds. As a believer in the protector Helm, I recognize such magic but believe that the broach is not magical at all, but only the belief of the love that protects one. Still, it is beautiful like you Lady Sune." He smiles at me and shares a secret understanding with me. After you finish admiring the artifact he replaces it in the protection of the stone. "Lady, I have not seen you at the temple. I am honored that Lord Dukalu has shared such a wonderful vision such as yourself with us. We have enjoyed his company for these few weeks. I am sorry to have only met you right before he returns to his homeland. Do you plan to make the journey as well?". You can tell he is a man of command and knows how to ask serious questions in an innocent manner. What does he know that he is not telling you?
Maintaining the lighthearted tone, I smile and respond, "I have to choose fast, but I'm uncertain. I'm considering making the journey in a few weeks time. My family is here after all and the sudden move isn't ideal for my parents. Unless there's a reason to join Lord Dukalu in Maztica sooner? Have you not shared an upcoming event with me love?" I look innocently between the two, hoping to get a piece of information as to why he's asking.
With as few pleasantries as possible, we head to the door and escape into the city. As I lead you back to the dress shop, I try to judge your mood. Slipping into the shop, I see that it is empty. Your clothes are laid out on the divan. The lights are low. We both hear the tolling of the midnight bells, and look frantically to each other.
I blurt out my thoughts. "You defended me. You stood up to the High Priest of Helm and gave an impassioned speech for me. I am overwhelmed, when you could have just as easily slapped me and ran from the temple, either mad or crying or both. Here I was trying to show you true love and I didn't even give you the respect of telling you my story. I failed at love again." Before I could feel too sorry for myself, you were kissing me and holding my cheeks. I gasp, "You should be getting dressed." You held me there in the middle of the shop as the bells sent out their last peeling. "Let us just run away together, the two of us, away from all of this!"
You stand there in my arms fully unclothed now of cloth and illusion, as am I unmasked in your arms. We kiss long and passionately, trying to think of what to say, not wanting to say anything.
