Feeling confident, and not being a target at the moment, Cur let's fly his arrows again.

Cur's rapid firing plugs the ape once more, grievously wounding it. Any more damage will take it out of the fight, if not kill it.

Feathered Ape: 17 Stress (17 max), 3 Wounds.

Jarik and Roderigo are up.

Let's just wrap this up, you're so close to the end.
A couple more stabs and the Feathered Ape dies. The warrior allies help you finish off the rest of the aggressors and you chase the enemy princess into the other room.

You find Princess Anepor, intent on taking hostage or murdering the helpless Queen Chitaka. With no way out the Xhotatse defenders agree that Anepor can leave as long as she leaves their queen unharmed. Princess Anepor, more inclined to self-preservation than her brother, Prince Azur, the man in the Feathered Ape costume, chooses to flee.

Queen Chitaka is alive and curled up on the throne crying like the child she truly is. She rushes forward to hug Cur, weeping with gratitude.
After securing the rest of the Keep, the Xhotatse will give you rich gifts and even escort you away from the city. The way home is long, you've lost many people and retainers on the way, but you will have an unbelievable story to tell.

If you survive the journey.
Here ends the adventure. Thank you for participating. I know that the story was slow, and I bear some responsibility for that. I hope that you learned something useful about Robert E. Howard’s Conan: Adventures in an Age Undreamed Of.

Thank you for running the game. I'm sorry it didn't work out. I'll shoulder my share of that clunky fizzled ending, as well. C'est la vie.

Thank you for DMing, sorry that I was not as active as I could be, running too many games and RL commitments. The D20 system looks interesting but I need to put aside the time to really understand it.
