I'm planning on running the whole series of Sword Coast modules, in chronological order, with the material available at the time of publishing.

So, for this, the first one, only the Player's Handbook was available.

I think cleric of the light. Human, maybe dwarf. Are you using the new racial bonus rules? Any race can put them anywhere.

I’ll do point buy and work on something tonight. (I’m EST - usually more active in the evenings, but since I’ve been working from home since March, I can schedule my time a little differently during the day).

What kind of group dynamic are we aiming for? Also, elf or half elf... hmmm..

Not the gear, but the third icon over. I think it's supposed to be a book, looks more like a lighter to me though.

Same here, but I usually make one up as we play and I learn more about my character. I have some ideas, but I'll just build on them as we go.

An elf monk and a half elf cleric have joined. That makes 5. There are two more invites, but 5 is enough to start. I'll do some reading tonight, and we'll start preliminaries tomorrow.

I've DM'ed HotDQ once IRL. I'm very curious to see how PbP turns out.

Hi hi! Sorry for not joining sooner; weekend was kinda a dud for me. Nooo relaxation happened at all.

So, from what I could gather, we've a wizard, a rogue, a fighter, a cleric, and a monk? I'll have to really think on my characters then. I'll likely play a tiefling or dragonborn. With what I could class them as a bard, sorcerer, or a barbarian. Though, warlock is up there... Since we have three physical damage dealers, and two magic-users, it feels like a hard bind...
