the fourth targets Grim. Trying to knock that deadly whip out of play. The stone slams into his right arm, swinging it behind him. But he manages to hold on, to consciousness, and his whip.

the final little scamp sees Linston hiding behind the wall, and sends a stone flying in his direction (1/2 cover AC20)

But he manages to duck as the stone lands in the grass behind him.

Damaceus, bends to lift Elceran's head. He tilts a small potion bottle to his lips, and Elceran can immediately feel the magic coursing through him.

the three cultists we're definitely not expecting to be attacked. The only reaction to an ambush that has any chance of success is a counter attack with maximum commitment.

But they're cultists.....pretty committed by definition.

two of the cultists choose to charge the wall where Clarice is in cover.

the third heads straight at the healer Damaceus.

Clarice is such a small nimble target, that the cultists don't come close to her as they swing their scimitars behind the waist high wall. But the third cultist's blade bites into Damaceus' shoulder, splattering blood across the side of his grimacing face.

No good deed goes unpunished....

Unable to hit a target with her crossbow at such a short range Clarice reaches up to grab the arm of one of her would be attackers. Her hand starts to glow and sparkle with electricity.

these low rolls are hurting you all.... but particularly little Clarice...
the flash causes the remaining Drake to lunge toward the light, startled and angry. But like a shark that bites your boat, it lashes out, sinking it's teeth into the wall instead of Clarice.

Linston's arrow does manage to leave his bow, and travel through the air, a bit. But it seems like it's heart just isn't in it. It manages to hit the ground, softly, not even the grass is damaged.
