Cycle 1 - Scene 1: Lacy Meets Sumono

Lacy fusses over her kimono for a moment, making sure it is proper, and then continues, "I know a great place near here that will host a tea ceremony for us at this hour."

As they begin walking together, she asks, "So what are you doing out tonight? Is your gate close by?"

Sumomo gestures. "If I might ask, however, what about you? There aren't many good places for you in this area."

Lacy laughs in reference to the gate and says playfully, "Oh, it's so intriguing! Well, maybe one day I'll learn, in which case you'd better watch out!"

As they sit down to receive their tea, Lacy says, "I was just passing through this area, actually. I was headed up to the industrial sector. Like you, I can't go into the details," she smiles, "but let's just say my current client is interested in a new technology and they've hired me to 'learn' about."

"Are you well versed in new technologies, or do you prefer to stick to the traditional side of society?" Lacy asks before sipping her tea.

'While I have no objections to new technologies, I'll admit I have a preference for the traditional."

Sumomo's smile becomes crooked. "For example: life is much easier, and much harder, with cell phones."

"Oh my god! Tell me about it. Before I came to Japan, I was completely addicted to Instagram," Lacy laughs feeling a little silly sharing. Then more seriously continues, "but my cell phone is absolute essential for my tutoring business here in Japan. It is so important to manage and build my contacts and to be in touch with them outside of class to give them a personal touch." She slyly winks at Sumono. "What about you," Lacy giggles, "What's your techno-vice?"

I guess I'll wrap up this scene, so ToDream can move on to their scene in the main thread.

A clock on the wall catches Lacy's eye. Realizing she must get back to the mission at once, she interrupts the masked Shinobi before she can answer. "Oh my, please excuse me, I must be on my way! It was very interesting meeting you Sumono. I look forward to seeing you again and perhaps one day you'll trust me to share the secrets of your gate," Lacy winks with a smile and fades into the night after leaving the hidden tea garden.

No problem at all. I thought since the main story was available you might prefer to dive back in there. You had mentioned post aversion earlier, so I thought removing the pressure of posting here might help. Also, I think it fits the story line. Lacy was in the middle of a mission to steal the Phoenix before getting distracted by Sumono, so she probably wouldn't have hung around too much longer since Sumono wasn't giving up her SECRET, ha ha.
