Use the roll 3d6 in Order rules for Character creation found in the ACKS Core Rules.
Roll up five stat blocks, pick the two you like best and make full character sheets for those two. Discard the rest.
The two characters will be your Primary and backup character. Your characters will know each other (and presumably be related or associated somehow) and your Primary will automatically start with a Will leaving all of your possessions to your backup and vice-versa. You can change this later, see post here.
AFTER a class has been chosen you may reassign stats to your prime requisites at at 2-for-1 cost, but you may not reduce any stat below 8 by doing so. More info in the core rules.
Classes can be taken from either the Core Rules or the Player's Companion. I don't have access to Heroic Fantasy or Barbarians.
Note that low intelligence will impact your known proficiencies for all classes and may render you illiterate at the start.
Low Charisma will have an impact on your ability to run a kingdom and command armies later on.
Wisdom is being house-ruled so as to apply its bonus to ALL save rolls, instead of just spell effects.
Strength, Dex, and Con, are pretty much the same as they are in most d20s.
