IC Story Thread: Chapter I, The Pride of Lions

Shadda shrugs, "I do not knoow the ways of mining. But you arre the first people to come heere, to the peak.

I, aand my people, are froom Mount Andrus. I haad spent...", she sighs, "... nearly tweenty years in the Shiining Plains. Waarring with Men and Giants. Aas a mercenary.

But I would liike to think of myself as a viisitor no more, here on this mountain. It is wherre I have chosen to make myy new home."

Once inside the yurt, she offers each of you a seat in the shade, a bowl full of berries collected from lower elevations, some roasted mountain goat, and drinks from her very large waterskin.

There's not much else in there besides a fire pit, a Shadda-sized cot, and a pack of her belongings. There are some living and survival items arrayed on flat topped stones, and a suit of chain mail armor.

After sharing a sparse meal with her visitors, Shadda grows thoughtful, "This w'orread... if this peak waas her home, perhaps this was herrs? It was the only thing here, on the peak when I arrived. And perhaaps you may uuse it to find her?"

The goliath woman reaches over to one of the flat-topped stones and produces a ... necklace? It is really almost more of a gorget, except it pretty clearly is only decorative. The thing is made of obsidian stones radiating out making a wide band that would reach nearly to the shoulders and breast-bone of the wearer. And there are three gem stones displayed prominently on the front of it.
