Going to have to pick back up later, but this is what I have so far.

Class: Pointman
Department: Basement
Attributes arranged so I have +1 to each
Skills: Bureaucracy, Diplomacy, First Aid, Gather Information, Knowledge (Conspiracy Theories), Listen, Read Lips, Surveillance.
Gather information, Listen, Read Lips, and Surveillance were promoted to class skills using Pointman's Versatility feature.

Have not gotten to feats or gear yet.

Basic character concept (subject to change): As of yet un-named character is that guy people see in the hallways and wonder 'How did he get recruited?' He seems like a simple everyman. The kind of guy you expect to be working a standard cubicle based office job. In reality, that is kind of how his career has been going so far. He does not really excel at anything, but he isn't particularly lacking either. He has been able to advance simply by being a team player and willing to step up to the plate and help out in just about any way. He is easy to get along with (just don't get him started talking about conspiracy theories unless you want to lose a few hours of your life) and the teams he works with just always seem to get the job done.

I see him as a fusion of Peter from Deadpool 2 and Henry Zebrowski from the podcast Last Podcast on the Left. I might actually use a picture of Henry as my avatar.

If this is too non-traditional for this type of game, let me know and I can work something else up. I just saw the chance to make a superspy with really mediocre looking stats and started running with the concept. It's still early enough into creation for me to totally rework it if this doesn't fit.

I don't think it'll be a problem. It would help explain why your last agency didn't feel the need to keep you around. On the other hand, someone who can just do the job without standing out is perfect for THIS agency.

Background: Fear --- His lifelong obsession with conspiracy theories clashes with his chosen line of work because the agencies he works for are often at the root of a lot of conspiracy theories. When he receives questionable orders George has trouble shaking the fear that he may be be working for the bad guys and is being manipulated into doing evil acts under the guise of doing good.

Backstory: George was born in Swansea to blue collar parents. His father (Devin Gilbert) was hard working but never rose above the level of low level beat cop. He often made use of a local PI name Arthur Morgan. George ended up falling in love with and marrying Arthur's sister, Dana.

George spent a lot of time with his uncle Arthur. He'd accompany him all over the city; taking part in stake outs or helping him gather information. Arthur also passed on to George his borderline obsession with conspiracy theories, true crime, and all things macabre. George planned on becoming an official partner in Arthur's private eye business upon graduation from high school but his parents insisted that he go to university.

He attended Swansea University. Unfortunately by the time he had earned his degree in Criminology, Arthur's five pack a day smoking habit caught up with him. He died three weeks before George received his diploma.

George leveraged his degree and unofficial internship as a private eye to obtain a job with the local branch of the SFO (Serious Fraud Office). This would be the first of many governmental agency positions he would hold.

Frequently underestimated because of his cheerful demeanor and slightly overweight frame, George found that his determination, reliability, and willingness to do the tedious tasks no one else was interested in made him a valuable asset. He never really gained notice as a superstar agent with any of the organizations he was with, but he was known as someone that was reliable above all else. He could be thrown into just about any situation with confidence that at the very least, he wouldn't completely bungle the job.

After the SFO, George moved to London and joined the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau. There he played a part in a string of successful operations targeting organized crime. This led to George's recruitment into the recently formed National Crime Agency. His work with the NCA brought him into frequent contact with Interpol, led to more frequent international travel, and he gained a few contacts within the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6). It may have been one of these contacts who put George on the radar of the Agency.

I don't see anything obviously wrong.

I'm going to insert you (as soon as you're ready) into Gene's place. You will not have been on the previous mission unless you want to, but you were assigned to this one, Gene was not. Matrix glitch, etc.

Sounds good. I'm read through the game thread so I am all caught up. I did have a few questions:

1) Since I'm taking's Gene place from the start of this mission does that mean that I took the 7 vitality point hit that he did in the fire fight? I'm fine with it either way, just need to know what status my character is at.

2) Should I roll and select gear specific to this mission or carry over what Gene had?

Let's say yes to the hit, and optional on the equipment. His gear isn't bad, but if you want to choose your own, go for it.

Sounds good. I decided to basically go with what he had already brought. I took off the taser and switchblade since Gene had higher CHA and therefore a higher budget. I also made my selection of gadgets for the mission and a few last minute alterations to my personal gear after seeing the numbers I had for some items were wrong. I think I used a different PDF (quickstart maybe?) when I originally selected gear. The BP numbers below are now all from the core rulebook. I believe I am ready to jump into the game now.
