Banshee, looking through her mirror, sees only steam and smoke. "Did you get 'em?"
Sep 24, 2022 1:28 am
Louis sees the snakes in his mirror and turns to aim his revolver at them just in time to get smacked in the face by a wave of smoke and heat as Faux and Inquisitor completely annihilate the snakes in the blink of an eye. He coughs. "…Yeah, I think they got them."
Sep 26, 2022 7:17 pm
Faux contains his own coughing fit and try’s to shut the door to separate the group from the smoke. However Inquisitor had kicked it clear off its hinges.
He takes a few steps back out into the hall for the clearer air.
"Maybe we come back to this room later, once it’s aired itself out."
Sep 26, 2022 8:08 pm
"Yeah. In my defense, you did say quickly."
He said as he exited the room hurriedly.

"Let's find the snake lady. I'm sure she'll make us some tea and biscuits." and in a more serious tone: "Have your mirrors at the ready"

Gharn checks the door across the room they just exited, before carefully opening it.

Inquisitor carefully examines the opposite door. No noise can be heard, but with the ruckus of the previous fight that doesn’t mean much.
This time he slowly cracks the door open before peering inside.
It appears to be empty. A single stool sits in the center of the room in front of a loom. A project half finished on it.
On the far wall are a couple of rough looking crates, other wise the room is bare of any and all decorations.

Once Inquisitor indicates that it’s safe, Louis follows the half-orc into the room, stopping to take a cursory look at the half-finished project on the loom, before going over to investigate the crates. He is careful to use his mirror to look behind and inside the crates first, just in case Medusa is hiding somewhere.

Chariot cautiously approaches the crates, even though it’s unlikely that such a mythical monster would be hiding in a box. However when he goes to open them he finds that they are nailed shut.
On closer inspection of the crates, Chariot does note the extremely poor condition of the wood. It’s splintered in several places, with more scrap wood hammered into places where holes obviously are.

Louis uses a crowbar to pry open one of the crates.
Oct 2, 2022 2:20 am
There is… a withered corpse in the box. Bound in chains etched with odd runes. It’s hands and feet appear to be broken. Likely from attempting to break the box.
It is… a rather small corpse.

Banshee narrows her eyes. At first she's horrified, but immediately she thinks why?

"What horror was this that it had to be mystically contained and not simply killed outright?"
Oct 3, 2022 1:34 am
"That’s a… charitable interpretation," says Louis, closing the crate. He eyes the other crates with distaste. "I’m going to check the others, just to make sure there’s nothing still living trapped inside."
Oct 5, 2022 4:14 am
The other two crates contain the same sight, a small withered corpse wrapped in runic chains. Hands and feet broken from thrashing about within their wooden prisons. Even after the crates have been opened they don’t appear to be moving in any way.
Oddly enough though, they don’t seem to be producing any smell, and you’ve come across enough corpses in this hell hole to know that’s not right.
Though figuring the cause of this would probably require closer inspection.
Oct 8, 2022 1:17 am
Louis looks over his shoulder at Banshee. "Corpses seem more like your area of expertise. Would you mind taking a closer look at these things?"
Oct 9, 2022 6:03 pm
Gharn makes his walks around the room, looking for anything that would give him some further clues about what the hell this room is.

Inquisitor seems to be fed up with this room, and unwilling to took the creepy corpses. He happens to look up at the ceiling and notices one of the tiles seems to be misaligned with the rest of the pattern etched onto the ceiling. Also that the door to the room appears to have closed itself while everyone was preoccupied with the box corpses.
Oct 14, 2022 6:18 pm
"Oi, better get your guard up" said Gharn; "bloody door seems to have shut itself - and us inside this room apparently."
Oct 15, 2022 6:55 am
Louis looks up from the crates he was investigating in surprise. "What? Ah, for fuck’s sake…" He draws one of his pistols and goes over to the door to check if it’s locked or just closed.
Oct 16, 2022 11:37 pm
The door rattles as Chariot attempts to open it, but it doesn’t budge. An airy chuckle can be heard on the other side of the door.
Not a moment later, a pink mist begins to drift down from the hole in the ceiling. It seems to be slowly drifting down to fill the room.
Oct 17, 2022 1:26 am
"Menfolk, that's something bad leaking from the ceiling, I have no doubt."
Oct 17, 2022 11:47 pm
"Something bad? Really? And here I thought that was cotton candy falling from the ceiling," Louis sarcastically responds. He thinks about trying to pick the lock but he doesn’t have lockpicks and that would probably take too long anyway, so instead he just turns around and kicks the door as hard as he can with his back hooves, hoping to break it off its hinges.
