Elceran gets so stealthy, even he isn't 100% sure where he is.

As he peers around the corner he finds an argument underway. The guard that you've been following is being chewed out for leaving his post.

"hatching dragons or no hatching dragons" screams the boss.

This is clearly a barracks room. beds and tables for about 40 men or so. However there are currently 3 guards and 5 cultists total in the room. All quite distracted.

Clarice stops in her tracks behind Elceran, keeping a bit of distance between the two, as he peeks around the corner.

the hallway (cavern really) you are in ends at the barracks room. The room is large, 20' by 100' or so. Lined on both sides with rough beds, and a line of tables down the middle. There is a doorway on the opposite end as well as the one you are standing in.

The group of guards and cultists is clustered around one of the tables, about 30' from you.

I have magic bolts that may take a couple out if we get lucky. Maybe a couple of arrows. We may be able to cut them down a bit before combat.

With a slight chuckle Clarice quietly moves into position.

"As soon as you hear the ringing, give them all you got!"

She traces a small circle in the air with her left hand while reciting the arcane words needed to unleash her attack. Suddenly a loud ring echoes through the chamber!

EDIT: Gah! Damned dice. :-)

the little bell rings and increases in volume so fast that half the foe have no time to react! The others dive for cover even as splinters of the exploding table tear into their backs. Lisntons rays slice through the air catching two guards in their mid section, the smell of burning wool and flesh filling the air.

Elceran slides into the chaos like he's on skates. His staff swinging upwards into the bloodied guard's chin. A sharp crack! is heard even above the raging din. He falls to the ground lifeless.

it's getting hard to tell if this cavern is a murderous death trap, or a really great disco. Pulstaing missles streak across the room a trail of ethereal glitter spreading behind them. They crash into cultists and pop like fireworks adding to the effect.

that was such a shock&awe attack, that I'm putting enemy attacks at disadvantage this round
magic smoke chokes the cultists as they struggle to see anything after the blinding light show. They scramble to grab weapons when they can, while some improvise.....

Pieces of furniture and dishes fly through the air as scimitars and spears slice the smoke. But no screams of pain, no smell of blood.
